Scott Embry’s Tuesday Broome Preview Posted on August 13, 2018August 14, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 AXEL FOLEY was a strong winner two starts ago and looked a progressive Broome type. Disappointed last start as a beaten favourite but can bounce back with the drop in trip. ZACHARIA BEAU beat Axel Foley home in his maiden. Dropping back in trip, blinkers on, looks the logical danger. JUST THANK ME is a maiden but races on speed and has competed in arguably tougher than this. ONE MORE NO MORE best of the rest. NUMBERS: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet: AXEL FOLEY WIN Race 2 TOMOHAWK has threatened to win races all preparation but has done a lot wrong. If he can jump and find the front this really does look his race. CLEVE’S WATCHING has improved at every dirt outing since joining the Gulberti team. Last start was his best yet. HANDYMAN has bled ratings points all preparation and was extremely well supported at his most recent. CHILLI STORM is not suited on the dirt but going well enough. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet: TOMOHAWK WIN Race 3 EXEXCEL boasts an all the way win over talented metro duo Ramruey and Disruptive. If she leads she will be mighty hard to run down. DESERT THRON lumps a big weight and was brave last start in similar circumstances when running good time. SECRET CHARGE was too strong for Desert Thorn with the light weight last time out and can make it two on the bounce. AEECEE TIANHU should improve sharply at a second dirt run. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – EXEXCEL WIN Race 4 SENSE OF DENIAL has really only put in two ‘average’ runs since going to Broome and they have both been off the 7 day back-up. Looks a special again here. YOUSHA DUA is new to Broome but no stranger to dirt racing. If she found the top they would want to keep her in their sights. FROSTY BAY was no match for Sense of Denial when they first met in maiden company. THROUGH THE GLASS has been the target of continual strong backing without firing a shot so far in the region. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – SENSE OF DENIAL WIN Race 5 A GOOD PLAN is the perfect Broome horse. Speedy and rails like a greyhound. Will make them chase a long way from home and hard to see it stopping. NANGA PARBAT is speedy but not quick enough to go with the favourite. Smart ride would try and tow ball. HOOK ME UP is well placed in a race like this and sneaks under the radar. OCEAN DIGGER would love an extra 100 or 200m. No surprise to see them back up on Saturday and we’ll back it then. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – A GOOD PLAN WIN Race 6 CHIN STRAP has likely had this race on the radar since connections decided to trasfer North. More than capable of leading or box seating in a high pressure race. ROGER THE ROMAN was beaten a long way in the Palmerston but those types are lengths better than what he meets here. Only 2kg more than he carried to victory in 2017. GONE AND GOT IT has been dominating weaker races and will wind up late. MEGAFACTORY put in an uncharacteristic shocker last start. Previous form strong. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – CHIN STRAP WIN Race 7 PENTHOUSE PET is an ultra consistent type who thrives at this trip. Was a good enough run in defeat last start to win this. BALLIDU BOMBER looks well weighted after the claim and should settle in the first two in running. HAVANA was a nice run two starts back. Suited in this field but big weight impost. MICK’S TIPPIN is a visitor to the region with questionable form but should enjoy a soft trip. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet – PENTHOUSE PET EACHWAY Quad (Race 4 – 7) 2 1 1,7 1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11 Market Market
