Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on May 10, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 JINGTANG has finished within a head of the highly talented Floyd, races on speed and comes from a form reference which has produced a subsequent winner over Galaxy Star. Ticks a lot of boxes. ENTICING STAR is undefeated and the small field suits but unlikely to get the same dream run as last start. HOBOKEN could lead or box seat and was game last weekend. SPEEDING COMET was something beaten last start, going well. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – JINGTANG WIN SuperPick - Race 1 No. 1 JINGTANG - Money Back Race 2 NECKLET could roll to the top here for the State’s premier 3kg claimer and from there he controls proceedings. PEARLS AND PRAWNS was a strong all the way winner in a weaker race last start, she is exciting. REGAL MOON the logical third pick, is probably unfairly known as a bridesmaid but the other two fillies look a little too classy. ANOTHER VISION ran well fresh in a Listed mares race. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – NECKLET WIN Race 3 ALPHA SKY was a strong debut winner and then ran into the incredibly smart Fabergino where nothing was ever a winning hope from a long way out. That race form will be hot and Alpha Sky can be the first to frank it. IN LOVE WITH PARIS lumps a full 59.5kg but should lead and make it hard for anything behind him. GIFTED WARRIOR gets tow ball run behind the leader. ROGANELLA beat only moderate opposition in an extremely slowly run race first-up. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – ALPHA SKY WIN Race 4 MASTER MAGICIAN was used up at the half mile last week and was entitled to be beaten out of sight. Forgive that effort and he can run a race at odds. AT THE READY was very good last weekend and expect that to be the form reference. COUGAR NIGHTS looms like the winner more often than not but may not quite stick out the trip. MIDDLE EARTH is not the most impressive type in the yard but continues to get the job done. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – MASTER MAGICIAN EACHWAY Race 5 MARKET RULER was absolutely no match for the highly regarded Black Sabbath. The wraps were justified and this should be an easier assignment. CRYPTIC LOVE either leads or sits to the outside of newcomer Pablo’s Poem in a race with a lot of speed. Was a strong winner last start but in a questionable form race with the rail out a long way. PLAY HARD likely ends up three back the fence but trialled nicely. PABLO’S POEM looks just like Belter and impressed at trials. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – MARKET RULER WIN Race 6 CASH ON CALL went around ludicrous unders in a race which looked unwinnable first-up but here he drops into a weak restricted race and with the favourable draw can lob into a perfect spot. MEN OF MUKINBUDIN is very dour for a horse at this distance, he is one paced and Hall will put the leader to the acid test a fair way from home. KOKOPU impressed at his WA debut and this is only marginally tougher. MRS BROWNS BOY is working into form and can find the fence. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – CASH ON CALL WIN Race 7 LOCKROY should slide forward from his awkward draw and put himself right into the race. He was gassed last start trying to chase down the high cruising Belter. This race looks to have slightly less speed. ART SERIES trialled like a star recently and should have no excuse from the draw. Very good filly. CLASSICAL PRINCE was still not to salute first-up last preparation, worth including. SHOW HONEY can definitely win if they are making ground. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – LOCKROY EACHWAY Race 8 GIGANTE is a huge query at the trip but showed last start that he is fairly close to being able to see it out. WA’s best front running apprentice takes over and he either sits outside or leads My Greek Boy. MY GREEK BOY is worth forgiving at his most recent start and can definitely bounce straight back here. PINZU is becoming costly for favourite punters and could end up a fair way back here. WAR GOD gets an identical run to last start but Chris Parnham is worth well in excess of 2kg. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – GIGANTE EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 4,5,8,9 1,5,7 1,3,4,9 1,2,3,6 Bet Now
