Scott Embry’s Thursday Bunbury Preview Posted on November 12, 2025November 12, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KAZZAMATAZZ has Lucy Fiore jumping off the horse her husband trains in Peanut Butter and that has to be a push in itself. Both of the trials have been encouraging, including the 2 year old trial when beaten 6L, and the most recent of them this preparation looked good enough to make an impression on debut. HELLAVAMOMENT was better second-up but still did a fair bit wrong, especially in the early stages when Brad Parnham was unable to get him to hold a position despite his intentions and his riding. Finished off the race well and now has winkers added. LEMMOR is speedy and last start was placed in a Westspeed Platinum as a maiden mare. ACORN is fierce. Good luck Willie. Numbers: 11 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – KAZZAMATAZZ WIN RACE 2 NOW YOU SEE ME was allowed to run by Pat Carbery last start and beat all bar the talented filly Hot and High (goes around favourite in a 3 year old 0MWLY at Belmont on Wednesday). Should that filly go two from two and remain undefeated it will make the form look even better and with a racing pattern like that, especially at 1000m, it’s only a matter of time before he pinches one. SAIGON DANCER has won every single barrier trial that she has contested across multiple preparations. Would be no surprise to see her win on debut. LIKE CLOCKWORK looks sharp enough to stick with them at 1000m. Rare for a Peters Investments type to debut at the short course. SOPHISTRY has been trialling well. Numbers: 1 – 11 – 8 – 12 Suggested Bet – NOW YOU SEE ME WIN RACE 3 HERAULT could be a plunge horse in this line up. The time figures out of the first-up and second-up races are simply superior to opposition and going out to 1675m looks the right distance for him. Think he can get back, join the three deep train and make a real race of this, just wary that he might get very short. Shop early. VEXATIOUS ROSE went to a C1 last start as a maiden mare and held her own to be beaten 3L by Battle Commander who has since won a Westspeed Platinum. Likely to make her run alongside Herault in what looks a swoopers affair. INVINCIBLE THEIF and WHO’S TALKING are both capable of breaking their maidens in the coming weeks/months. Maiden with some depth. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – HERAULT WIN RACE 4 BUSY FINGERS finished 4L behind Lanfranco last time out and never really looked a winning chance at all in running. Lanfranco is favourite in a C1 Wednesday so we watch that with great interest to judge the quality of that maiden form reference. Hopesfully he goes well because this looks winnable for Busy Fingers and we’re likely to get an early price without Pike on. GOD’S GRIN did a power of work last start from barrier 13/13 and was left a sitting duck to be run down. Hasn’t raced in over a month which is a query vs price? SENTIMENTAL LEGEND has trialled up well enough for a horse stepping out at 1400m on debut. EXCEED THE BOOM is now 1000m out to 1400m. Looks like the stable is still trying to figure him out? Numbers: 3 – 9 – 14 – 6 Suggested Bet – BUSY FINGERS WIN RACE 5 GUNS AWAY beat subsequent winner ZOomachino in a 2100m Belmont maiden before being thrown straight into the deep end in a rehandicapped 66+ on a Saturday. Didn’t think he did a bad job to be beaten less than 2.5L and actually beating a few horses home at 50-1. Back to his right grade and happy to follow up. NEAP TIDE beat up on very (very) limited animals and was given a Pike special. This is harder and not yet convinced. INTO THE FUTURE similarly beat weak maidens last start but she’s a former high priced yearling who might just be starting to hit her straps. AHREA tries hard and rarely runs a bad race. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – GUNS AWAY EACHWAY RACE 6 SHAULA comes through a C3 1650 at Belmont where he was no match for progressive staying mare Summer’s Legacy. She was a returning 4 year old who as a filly held her own in the Classics and could be able to work her way through to Country Cups at some stage in her career. These opponents look far less talented and Shaula should get the right run from the draw. Like this race for him. POINT ROCKS was taken out to 1700m on Cup Day at Bunbury and demolished them at odds. Prior to that was beaten nearly 2L at the hands of Shaula at 40-1. WORCESTER seems to have tapered off in terms of his form from when he first arrived in WA. HENRY HAS SPOKEN is getting closer. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – SHAULA WIN RACE 7 MANTUA looks just about ready now. He ran third to Rolling Ruler two back and then ran third to The Calabrese last start. While those 60+ Graduations and the 0MWLY races that he comes through are handicapped the same as this C5 it’s clear on paper that there’s far less depth in this. Right race, right time and never a bad thing to be on the fence at the BTC. COONDLE is a model of consistency. He is always around the mark but he also seems to find one better at most outings. UNDER INFLUENCE is a hard horse to catch and think he’s more a wet track winter type. AIN’TSOBAD has had excuses her last two outings. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – MANTUA WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,6,9,14 1,2,3,5,6 1,4 1,5 Market Market
