Matt Young’s Sunday Kellerberrin Preview Posted on August 8, 2025August 8, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 OUR THUNDER (6) looks set to dominate, will charge across and should lead, he has been competitive on a Friday night at Gloucester Park and the big fellow should bring up his first WA win here at the short odds. ON GOLDEN ROAD (1) has the speed to hold the rest of them and be leaders back and becomes a decent place chance. BLIND EDITION (4) also has early speed but he’s not at his best currently, could be placed if he could get to the rail. CIAO BABE (7) has drawn beautifully and looks a strong place. DANNIKA (5) may need the run and SPORTS CENTRAL (8) a novelty chance as he will be fitter. Tips: 6 7 1 4 Suggested Bet: CIAO BABE (7) to place. Race 2 MISS KNOWALL (3) looks far better suited in this, has good early speed and can hit the rail and she does her best racing on speed, looks hard to catch. SATAN PRINCESS (1) drawn to get a good run and lacks early speed so likely to be leaders back and get use of the sprint lane. STRAUNYS SISTER (6) first up for Michael Young and can push forward and do the work, this is a good grade for her, expect her to keep improving after a better last run. ISAIDBOO (8) will be running on from the back of the field. MAJOR BUZZ (10) next best as he can close off for a novelty. Tips: 3 1 6 8 Suggested Bet: MISS KNOWALL (3) to win. Race 3 HOT CINDER (1) is racing well and has the speed to lead, she does rise in class, but this is her pet distance, and she is in good form. MISTER KOPA (4) is a major player if he could ping across at the start, his gate speed is sometimes forgotten. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (8) returns and is capable, might need the run but her high speed will come in to play in this grade and with the small field. AMERICAN MONARCH (5) is racing well and can feature but needs some tempo on. KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (2) is very consistent but could get shuffled back from the draw. EYE BETTER (6) likely to need the run on return. Tips: 1 4 8 5 Suggested Bet: MISTER KOPA (4) each way. Race 4 ICE COLD SAPPORO (10) looks well placed as he drops in grade, he can do the work in his races and looks very hard to beat, still finding his peak fitness. BY ROYAL COMMAND (9) was a monster winner last time out at Narrogin, expecting him to be powering home in this. INTO THE FUTURE (8) not at his best, can improve but also happy to watch him on previous runs. Novelty chances to MISS MARCOPOLO (1), AMERICAN TYPHOON (2), CAPTURE THE MOMENT (4) and HOT ROD (7) Tips: 10 9 4 2 Suggested Bet: ICE COLD SAPPORO/BY ROYAL COMMAND to exacta. Race 5 MAJOR CLASS (6) has come back well and is working into his top form, this grade looks perfect for him, and he can use his versatility, hard to beat. SAVE THIS DANCE (1) comes in fresh but has the speed to lead early and pick and choose, becomes a place chance. THE WHIZZER (2) has been sound as of late, can run at the top end in this, keep safe. CODENAME ELLIOT (5) will have to rely on his high speed late, place chance. MOOLAH MAGNET (7) up in grade but soft draw. ROCKNROLL TRAIN (4) could also be an improver. Tips: 6 1 2 5 Suggested Bet: MAJOR CLASS (6) to win. Race 6 THE MERCENARY (1) hasn’t had much luck in his recent two runs, but both runs had merit, looks the leader and can get keen so the tempo could be on, expect him to stick on well. If the tempo suits, SHES A MARE (10) will be thundering home, she has come back well and has good closing speed. GOODONYA MATE (7) drawn to get a beautiful run, will be in the slip stream. RISING SPIRIT (6) racing well but needs luck from the draw. VINTAGE BLU (8) is going well enough to cause an upset, he’s flying under the radar a touch, could go to the rail and get a soft run. ROCKSTAR QUALITY (2) a novelty chance. Tips: 10 1 7 6 Suggested Bet: GOODONYA MATE (7) each way. Market Market
