Matt Young’s Saturday Bunbury Preview Posted on August 8, 2025August 8, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 BETTOR MOVE MATTY (7) was a naughty boy on Tuesday and trailed the field but he’s on the quick backup and looks very hard to beat in this. He sat parked in 1.54.9 winning track and distance two starts ago and looks to have gears. DROP THE ACE (1) has the draw and is speedy, looks the leader early and should finish in the money. IN RARE AIR (6) looks a nice type but has a tricky draw to overcome, will find out a lot more about this horse tonight. THE FINAL OFFER (8) has the nice draw and looks to have good top end speed, should settle close enough. Tips: 7 1 6 8 Suggested Bet: BETTOR MOVE MATTY (7) to win. Race 2 DONTWAKEMEUP (10) raced away with an easy win on return, and this looks no harder just a tricky draw to overcome but looks to be enough speed on the front line to bring her into it, go well. ALTA KING (2) hasn’t been at his best throughout this preparation but has the nice draw to be an improver. JACK MANNIX (7) has been consistent, but the draw is challenging at the short trip. DAWSON SHARD (3) is racing soundly with SUGAR BOO (5) and both can feature into the money. TELL ITIN HEAVEN (6) is a speedy type and might try to cross, if he could lead, he becomes a novelty chance. MAJOR BLUE EYES (8) needs luck from the draw, follows out one of the outsiders. DEKLA DIVA (12) will be running on. Tips: 10 2 5 7 Suggested Bet: DONTWAKEMEUP (10) each way. Race 3 OVERLY EXCITED (12) is a talented type on return, he has strings to his bow and can watch things unfold but he is going to be incredibly threatening in the run and looks the one to beat. DIAMOND WORLD (6) is racing well, and she can use her early speed, could lead and give them something to chase. LOCAL RESIDENT (3) hit the line well last time out and can use the early speed and become a novelty chance along with ROCKNROLL NUGGET (4), LIQUIDATOR (5), SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (7) and ASHANTI PRINCESS (10). Tips: 12 6 3 10 Suggested Bet: OVERLY EXCITED (12) to win. Race 4 CHERRY ON THE CAKE (3) is deserving of a win, not much has gone right in her recent two runs and she has performed in terrific order, looks hard to beat as she has the draw and the distance suits. MISS STEFANI (5) should be getting back to her peak fitness and can do the work, likely sits parked and will run a big race. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (2) has a few options early but can be placed if she can hit the rail. I SEE FIRE (8) not a quick beginner, so the draw is against him as well as the distance. SUNSHINE SWIFT (9) and SWITCH BLADE (10) will both be running on well, the latter can push through into a decent position early. Tips: 3 5 2 10 Suggested Bet: CHERRY ON THE CAKE (3) to win. Race 5 FLYIN DISCO (12) has put up a couple of solid runs since coming back from a break and this grade looks to suit him nicely, he can watch things unfold before being put into it and has supreme toughness. MADAM MAGGIE (1) has the speed to lead early and can be an improved run from this draw, has options. ME FLASH (7) is racing well, could be driven aggressively and there is a chance he could find the top, if he led, he would be the one to beat. MANEA (2) and DISPATCHER (3) both racing well enough but this looks a rise in grade, and they can’t do too much early. SUNDANCER RAINBOW (4) is purely sit kick and the draw is awkward for her. SPIRITOFANANGEL (9) is ultra consistent and looks a place chance with SKIPPIN CLASS (10) who is flying under the radar. Tips: 12 7 1 10 Suggested Bet: FLYIN DISCO (12) to win. Race 6 Open race here. THE RIZZLER (7) did things wrong on debut and has shown good promise in his last preparation and expecting him to run well in this. CAMEL PLUS (6) has been an improver every time he steps out on the track, comes into this fresh and looks a strong chance. GAMETIME (4) creates interest on debut, has shown promise in trials. WRITE RITE RIGHT (8) can watch things unfold and will run on strongly. MONTERIO (5) has shown ability and should be thought of in your quaddie investments. NO MESSING ABOUT (3) looks a novelty chance on what we have seen so far. Tips: 7 6 8 4 Suggested Bet: WRITE RITE RIGHT (8) each way. Race 7 BOOM IT UP (9) has been getting closer to victory and has a nice trailing draw here, will be getting home strongly and looks hardest to hold out. ICANPLAY (4) can use her gate speed, and she has been a gradual improver for Wayne Justins and the stablemate CHARLI BROWN (5) was solid two starts ago and looks one of the major players in this. SUKHOVEY WINDCHIME (2) returned soundly, and the draw appears good enough for her to run into the money. AZIONE (6) has been improving, and this looks the right grade to see him run a big race. TAYLORS BOY FRED (8) was disappointing last start but is capable of better. Tips: 9 5 6 4 Suggested Bet: BOOM IT UP (9) to win. Market Market
