Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on June 14, 2023June 14, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 4 No. 9 Acing Kuna Will get a start from 3 or 4 at this stage and is right in this final. Lacks dash but has a good middle and last section and the map here will pan out perfectly if she holds a spot behind the early pace to the first turn. Clear running from there will see her hit the frame at good EW odds. Can win, should place. Race 5 No. 4 Sunset Louie and No. 8 Get Out This market is absurd. Obscene opening quote about the 4 at $61. A comparative line with the 2 on last weeks run is just astonishing in the fresh air between their prices. The 4 had no luck at the top last week and stormed home and if he gets the run here first turn, he will drop on these. The 8 is under rated and can also run on. A bit clumsy but strong and a good double figure place heavy go. A couple of these shorter priced runners have already opened or been over bet because of what they have done in maidens/Novices off box 1. No favours here. With any luck at all, the 4 is a place bird and could even win. Race 7 No. 6 Red Shell and No. 1 Stella Forever Two dog race really on equal terms. If either lead that should be check and mate. The 1 can step and hold up here but she has missed twice from the red already. This is very easy company though. The 6 only has to sort his box manners out. If he does and sweeps around then that will almost certainly be it. Work the angle to play them both at the flucs. Race 8 No. 7 Tweak Freak and No. 2 Redshift Tango Another case of who leads here. It’s almost a given these two will charge to the first turn together with their early dash. The 7 has stronger form lines and is ultra consistent. Goes sub 30 on the arm. The 2 needs to lead to win but her run home here isn’t as good. Could get away but would need to. They should match this out. Race 11 No. 2 Frank The Tank I think this fav could be held up here and he would need to be. The red goes fast and could give the 2 the drag run here. He goes super around here and his box stats are very good. Any sort of clear run sees him hit top 2 and he can win the race going sub 22. Good show to knock this fav over. THE MEADOWS Race 4 No. 4 Surprising and No. 2 Smouldering Decay Staying race where the 4 makes her debut over the trip. She was superb at Ballarat making late ground behind a group stayer and will handle the distance here no problem off that. The 2 is dour and just plugs all day and with a few other suspect stayers in this, she could get past a couple to hit top 2 late. Don’t ignore. WENTWORTH PARK Race 5 No. 1 Sour Cider Wilma Finally draws a box inside 4 and caught the eye last week with a strong effort after having no luck early and first turn. Has a much better record when she draws in and will only need to hold a spot to run into this sooner this week. Great EW go here. Race 6 No. 5 Zipping Sabrina Returns from QLD where she never got into strong races up there. Both times spat out the back. Returns to her fav track where she is a 6 time winner and has some very fast victories here. Slots over to the fence and starts her work, she will hit the frame with any luck at all. Place heavy but can win. Market Market
