Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 24, 2022March 10, 2023 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 WALL STREET GIRL (2) is not the most reliable mare but she does have her share of ability and she will give a great sight if she can push through and find the front. HIGH PRICE (12) hasn’t had much luck of late but will be suited by the likely solid tempo and should be running on at each way odds. LITTLE DARLING (6) has been placed in five of her six starts this time and should break through soon but has an awkward draw to overcome. SOHO DOW JONES (7) is racing extremely well but will have to work in the run again. Tips: 2 12 6 7 Suggested Bet: WALL STREET GIRL (2) each way. Race 2 GLENLEDI CHIEF (2) has only been placed in one of his four starts this time in but looks the likely leader here and he will be hard to beat in that role. BLITZEMBYE (5) was an impressive winner before not handling the rise in class at his last start and looks the obvious danger. BEAT CITY (10) is likely to settle three back on the pegs and will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time. SMOOTH RYE (1) will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 2 5 10 1 Suggested Bet: GLENLEDI CHIEF (2) to win. Race 3 EL CHEMA (1) has gone to a new level this time in and really impressed at his last start when he finished 2nd to Lavra Joe in the Pinjarra Classic. He has options from the pole and should give a great sight. STAMFORD (2) crossed from the outside barrier and fought on well to finish 4th to Lavra Joe in the 4YO Championship here last week and will appreciate the drop in class. RAGAZZO MACH (6) has plenty of ability but will be giving his rivals a head start. EZANA (4) will settle close to the speed and can figure. Tips: 1 2 6 4 Suggested Bet: EL CHEMA (1) to win. Race 4 DIEGO (5) has battled bad draws at his past two starts but has caught the eye when charging home to finish just behind the placegetters. This looks an easier assignment and he appeals as the one to beat. PATRONUS STAR (8) won a similar event two starts back and will be dangerous if he gets the right cart into the race. GAMBIT (12) led throughout to defeat Magnificent Storm two starts back and will be charging home here. WILDWEST (10) will need some luck from this draw but will be dangerous if he gets out at the right time. Tips: 5 8 12 10 Suggested Bet: DIEGO (5) to win. Race 5 MISS LIMELIGHT (1) wasn’t far away when a 4.9m 4th to EIGHTEEN CARAT (9) in the Norms Daughter Classic and should lead here and give a great sight. EIGHTEEN CARAT (9) beat a similar field here a fortnight ago to make it six wins from her past seven starts and is capable of overcoming her horror draw. THE AMBER HARE (12) finished 3rd in that event and looks a major player again. ALCIPPES DELIGHT (10) is drawn to get a soft run and can be placed. Tips: 1 9 12 10 Suggested Bet: MISS LIMELIGHT (1) to win. Race 6 MOONLITE DRIVE (2) has performed well at his first two starts back from a spell and should give a great sight after drawing inside his two main rivals. DONT BOTHER ME NONE (3) is racing well without winning this time in and should fight out the finish again. KIMBLE (4) has good gate speed and will be hard to beat if he can cross at the start. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (1) won a weaker event here at his last start and should be thereabouts from the pole. Tips: 2 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: MOONLITE DRIVE (2) to win. Race 7 PRINCE OF PLEASURE (12) has impressed in winning all five starts this time in and has run very quick times in the process. The back line draw over the sprint trip is never easy but he has a clear class edge on his rivals. GETN WIGGY WITHIT (5) has won two out of his last three starts and can be dangerous with the right run. FASTER THAN DAD (3) has won his last two starts in easier company and the rise in class is offset by his nice draw. OUR SHELLEY BEACH (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 12 5 3 10 Suggested Bet: PRINCE OF PLEASURE (12) to win. Race 8 SUING YOU (4) led when 2nd at Northam at her last start and appeals as the one to beat here after drawing inside her main rivals. ROCKSTAR REBEL (6) has been unplaced in last eight starts but drops in class here and should make his presence felt. ATHABASCAN (11) has been unplaced in his past six starts but is suited against this line-up. GLORIAFILIA (10) goes up in class tonight but has won her last two starts and can be dangerous from a soft draw. Tips: 4 6 11 10 Suggested Bet: SUING YOU (4) to win. Race 9 FLY TO FAME (3) couldn’t make up ground in a 26.9 last quarter at her last start but drops in class for this assignment and should give a great sight. DONTWAKEMEUP (1) led throughout at Collie at her last start and the rise in class is offset by the pole draw. FLYING TO WIN (2) beat home FLY TO FAME (3) when 3rd at her last start and should be thereabouts again. CIAO BABE (6) warmed up for debut with a recent Byford trial win in moderate time and must be respected. Tips: 3 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: FLY TO FAME (3) to win. Race 10 TRICKY RIC (8) will be giving his main rivals a head-start but he is race-fit and in form. MIDNIGHT ASSASSIN (4) was impressive in winning all three of his WA starts but has been off the scene for over a year. He trialled fairly at Pinjarra recently and must be considered at his return. ACE COMMANDER (1) was doing things wrong at the end of his last campaign but has trialled nicely for his return and looks the other winning chance. CHUMANI (2) is a reliable trotter who doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but can be placed. Tips: 8 4 1 2 Suggested Bet: TRICKY RIC (8) to win. Market Market
