Race 1

Blowout hope in the opener is RICK’S CAFE resuming, a poor fresh record, however, she’s never been this forward at the trials from memory and with queries on some key chances she can run well at the mile in an open race. Big market watch is SAPPHIRE SIREN resuming with out any public trials and showed good ability last time in. LAKE VOSTOK is hard and fit with a potentially sticky draw on the speed map, may need luck in the run. Little separating BAYWATCH and TEMPRANILLO both knocking on the door of a win.

Race 2

Long time maiden ZAMBALES finds a suitable race first-up and has jumped out well enough to be winning first-up. Brings excellent form lines for this maiden contest, the danger is SHOOTING BRAKE resuming, jumpouts have been ok, would need a significant push in betting to suggest he’s ready to go. SOMETHINGS BURNIN’ has been in and out many times this campaign and sure to be wound up, Flem jumpout was impressive. LEGALITY trialled ok ahead of his debut.

Race 3

RESOLUTELY was brave fresh when in need of the run and then appreciated being back around a bend at Caulfield and gave a big sight nailed on the line. SAINTLY DANCER will come at her late, that was a smart debut at Geelong and attacked the line with purpose, she looks a winning chance again. Another catching the eye on debut was ALL THAT AND MORE at Sale, will give a start again and need the speed on. GHANA’S AKAN is consistent, been in winning positions already in her short career, first-up run was solid.

Race 4

ALMAGO is up in grade but is ready to win third-up, sustained a long, wide run at Bairnsdale and let down strongly in the straight, nosed out on the line. GIGGENBACH stalked and presented to win this course and distance last start, now back against her own sex, cant fault recent form, needs a winner. SOUL MISTRESS lands on-speed and racing well. SHE’S A CON jumped out strongly on the poly last week between runs, back to turf is the issue.

RACE 5

Like the win of TEMPEST MOON second-up sustaining a long run at Murtoa, can only improve stepping up further in distance and now fitter again, a winning hope in an open race .EMPRESS OF THE SUN can lead all the way, she’s hard and fit and comes through the right races. PARVATI PARTY is flying for the new camp and was super last start in a much stronger race. Again hard to hold out, now opting for the claim. WOLFOFITROYSTREET is an improving stayer and in the mix also.

RACE 6

ONE LONG DAY was well-backed to break a long drought at Seymour and maps for almost an identical run, he is off a let-up and meets a deep field, each way chance if he can trail the good tempo expected. GOLD CHARIOT had too much class on the poly defeating a subsequent winner, first-up run was fair, tricky draw to overcome. SAVVIE BLANC is racing well, key gear change with blinkers removed can improve. KOMITO was smashed in betting and awful last start, back to a mile could see a turnaround.

Race 7

STAR TRIP settled more forward second-up and stuck on bravely when challenged, the inner draw and drying track are in his favour. The one to beat from QUEEN CHRISTINE she’s flying for the Wilde stable looking for the hat-trick, maps to do so, if she handles the drier track. DAMAS was good at the jumpouts, he’s a free-rolling type and can give a sight on the Lakeside, prefers it wet. CYBER LINK is first-up with blinkers on for a stable that can get them up early.

Race 8

Tough finish with many hopes. SHAMANSARA was strongly fancied to repeat her debut win up in grade last start and ran well in a bunched finish. This looks an easier task and will get the speed on if they choose to ride quieter this time. PROVEN SOUL is honest and will again give a sight on-speed, CELESTIAL ZARA handled the heavy to win at Murtoa first-up, a drying surface helps her further. GUNNADO is going along ok, with the speed on I can see him hitting the line hard from the rear.
