Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 17, 2022March 17, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 THE MIKI TAKER (2) worked his way to the front when a 1.55.6 winner here two starts before working hard in the early stages when 2nd to Swingband in 1.55.0 here last week. He is drawn outside his main rival tonight but should give a great sight. HIGH PRICE (1) did things wrong at his return but has won a recent trial and is the obvious danger from the pole. WONDERFUL TO FLY (3) is drawn to get a lovely ruin behind the two boys and is capable of upsetting the favoured pair. MISTER PICCOLO (4) can be placed with the right run. Tips: 2 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: THE MIKI TAKER (2) to win. Race 2 ARMA EINSTEIN (1) has been placed in five of his past six starts and was a 1.56.7 winner at his last start. He is drawn to lead over the sprint trip and is clearly the one to beat. JETT STAR (11) has a lot of ability and broke back into the winner’s circle at his last start but doesn’t appear to be anywhere near his best. POWER AND GRACE (2) was a solid 2nd here last week and will be prominent throughout again. DEEORSE (10) is drawn to follow the favourite and looks a good place chance. Tips: 1 11 2 10 Suggested Bet: ARMA EINSTEIN (1) to win. Race 3 MANNING (4) who drops in class on his recent assignments and can dominate this event from the breeze or work his way to the front. VALENTINES BROOK (11) was held up badly before flashing late to finish 3rd here last week and will be charging home again. ALTA RHETT (2) has been placed in eight of his past 11 starts and should be thereabouts again. CROCODILE KID (1) wasn’t far away in slick time here last week and has options at the start. Tips: 4 11 2 1 Suggested Bet: MANNING (4) to win. Race 4 LAWRENCE (1) dashed home in 27.2 when an all-the-way mobile winner two starts back before struggling from a handicap in a stand here last week. He looks the likely leader tonight and will prove hard to catch. KNOW WHEN TO RUN (2) has won three of his last five starts and is the obvious danger from his nice draw. MISTER BUSHIDO (10) and PIERRE WHITBY (11) both have nice trailing draws and look good place chances at odds. Tips: 1 2 10 11 Suggested Bet: LAWRENCE (1) to win. Race 5 PAPINIK (1) was a nice 2nd to Diego in the Pinjarra Cup and looks the leader and testing material from the pole. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (9) looked sharp when winning here last week and is approaching his best form but has a tough draw to overcome. TEXAS TIGER (5) has won eight of his last nine starts and resumes here without a trial so monitor the betting. VULTAN TIN (10) is drawn to get a nice run just off the speed and is capable of causing an upset if there is a genuine tempo. Tips: 1 5 9 10 Suggested Bet: TO FAST TO SERIOUS (9) each way. Race 6 TRICKY RIC (3) has two wins from his last four starts and made errors in the other two starts. He must be taken on trust but will be hard to beat if he does everything right. SON OF A WHIZ (2) led throughout to defeat MAJESTIC COURTNEY (5) at his last start and has the barrier advantage over his main rivals. BEEFOUR BACARDI (11) made a rare mistake at his last start but must be considered on his previous form. MAJESTIC COURTNEY (5) ran on well to be placed at big odds at his last start and can be in the money again. Tips: 3 2 5 11 Suggested Bet: TRICKY RIC (3) to win. Race 7 BLACK JACK ZAC (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and will be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. OUR SEQUEL (1) did lead throughout here during his last campaign and he won’t find a better opportunity to break back into the winners’ circle. TELLMETOATTACK (11) ran a solid 3rd here last week and should. Be thereabouts from his nice trailing draw. THE KRAKEN (9) drops considerably in class on his recent assignments but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 10 1 11 9 Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK ZAC (10) each way. Race 8 EIGHTEEN CARAT (4) crosses the Tasman with good form and her recent 1.57.4 Byford trial victory indicates that she will be very hard to beat in this event. BETTOR GET IT ON (5) didn’t have a lot of luck when fancied here last week and looks the obvious danger. BOORAA (12) has been racing in stronger company but will be giving her main rivals a start. NEWSLETTER (1) doesn’t have the class of her rivals but can be placed from the pole. Tips: 4 5 12 1 Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (4) to win. Race 9 DON’T BOTHER ME NONE (2) isn’t performing at his best but he has a clear class advantage over his rivals and is clearly the one to beat. MCARDLES GEM (1) has been battling draws of late but has ran on well to be placed at his past two starts and has options from the pole. VALBONNE (10) is racing consistently and comes right into calculations if the polemarker holds the front. POCKET THE CASH (4) should enjoy a nice run just off the speed and can be placed. Tips: 2 1 10 4 Suggested Bet: DON’T BOTHER ME NONE (2) to win. Race 10 AMERICAN MONARCH (1) has been placed in two of her three career starts and gets her opportunity to break her maiden status tonight. AUGUST MOON (5) finished in front of the favourite when 2nd here last week and is the obvious danger but has a wide draw to overcome. ZEPHYRA (3) ran a nice 2nd on debut and has blinkers added tonight. LENI ROSE (2) is drawn to rail the favourite and can sneak into the money at odds. Tips: 1 5 3 2 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN MONARCH (1) to win. Market Market
