Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on May 7, 2021May 7, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 7th May 2021 Race 4 – No. 8 Got The Chops Solid without threatening from his first wide draw last week when stepping out over the 490m. Has saluted over this journey in the last in a BON 22.67 and should prove too good for this line up. Race 5 – No. 6 Fearless Eagles Big effort in the Mandurah Derby to finish as close as he did after copping plenty of interference throughout. Won’t find this as tough and a repeat of his 490m debut win in 27.46 is on the cards. Race 6 – No. 8 Quartararo Powerful finisher who can handle the wide draw. Has finished on the podium in all of his past eleven starts and will be the one to capitalise on the misfortunes of his more fancied rivals if happen to find bother in the run. Each Way: Race 8 – No. 7 Veyron Star The class runner who has been mixing form over the longer 490m recently. A winner when last seen over this trip and while he strike rate from this draw is not all that appealing, if she produces the early pace that she has done at her past couple, she will take a power of beating. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 3.4.6 / 1.2.6.8 / 2.3.6 / 3.5.6.7 $50 for 34.72% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 8th May 2021 Race 7 – No. 1 Counting Kuna Runs in red have been well spaced. Dominating rivals left, right and centre over this trip and only needs to hold out the stripes early make it four wins on end. Race 8 – No. 1 Ready For Magic Usually thereabouts with podium finishes in 14 of 19 starts to date. Yet to win from this draw and can be risky early but will be doing his best work at the finish and must be kept very safe. Race 10 – No. 2 Curium Consistent chaser who has only missed a place once in her past thirteen starts. Hasn’t saluted for six starts but the improved draw greatly assists in her landing that first win since February. Each Way: Race 3 – No. 1 Jailbreak Guess She has saluted in two of five over this trip, albeit in easier. She has also found trouble in running in all of those runs but does have her best draw yet which can see her bounce back to her winning best. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2.8 / 4.5.8 / 1.2 / 1.2 $50 for 138.88% Trifecta – Race 10 2 / 1.3.5.6.8 / 1.3.5.6.8 $30 for 150% First Four – Race 4 2.6 / 2.6 / 1.3.4.7.8 / 1.3.4.7.8 $50 for 125% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 9th May 2021 Race 6 – No. 7 Keeps The Law Recent efforts from this draw and similar have been strong. Won’t find this any tougher and should figure prominently once again. Race 7 – No. 6 Rippin’ Purton Group 1 Perth Cup placegetter has finished outside the placings at his past couple, with excuses. Only needs a solid start to find his very best in this. Race 11 – No. 7 Sunset Bardot Makes her Cannington and short course debut. Does her best work from out wide and can break through for success for the first time in graded company if she can leave the boxes in a timely manner, Bet Now! Bet Now!
