Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on November 6, 2020 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 6th November 2020 Race 3 – No. 6 Vapour Blaze Had no luck in his WA debut after a swift exit from the boxes in his Chase heat so best to forget he went around. He can handle a wide draw and will find this company more to his liking. Should be able to make amends. Race 5 – No. 1 Par Peppi Racing well over a variety of shorter distances and looks ready for the step up. Breeding suggests he’ll appreciate the rise and he has been gifted his favourite draw for the 490m debut. Worth following. Race 10 – No. 3 Bust Or Boom In and around the placings in 11 of his past 12 outings and has finished no further back than 2nd in six runs over this trip. His record in white is no guide (3s 0w 1p) as all three efforts were over 520m at Cannington, leading everywhere but the post in two of those. Back over the favourable shorter journey and should be able to hang on this time around. Each Way: Race 9 – No. 1 Stanga Bull Risky beginner who saves his best for out wider but if the breaks go his way and he finds the gaps don’t close on him, he is capable of finishing over the top of his rivals late. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2.4.7.8 / 1.2.3.4 / 1.2 / 1.4 $50 for 62.50% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 7th November 2020 Race 6 – No. 3 Historic Time Found all sorts of bother on the first turn in the All Stars Sprint final from a wide draw before balancing up and finishing strongly for 3rd to SUNSET NUCLEAR (8). Would’ve gone much closer and from the improved draw, he should give this a real good shake. Race 9 – No. 3 Hairpin Trigger Was due to make her 715m debut last week before being called off the bench to contest the 600m final, finishing a well beaten 7th, albeit with a few excuses. Form prior was strong and she looks ready for the rise in distance. Tough to beat. Race 10 – No. 2 Hatari Storm Bounce back with back to back wins over varying distances here at Cannington, his most recent an all the way 21.81 victory over this trip in this very company. Has struggled to jump from this alley over East but he does have modest beginners either side and he looks set to notch up the hat trick. Each Way: Race 12 – No. 4 Steve Monelli Suffered from Second-up Syndrome last week over 405m at Mandurah, not jumping as well as he did on resumption, racing in the second half of the field throughout. Back to the Cannington 520m where he does his best work and he is capable of recapturing his winning best in this. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.5.6 / 3.5.8 / 2 / 3 $9 for 100% Trifecta – Race 5 1.5.6 / 1.5.6 / 1.3.4.5.6.8 $3o for 125% First Four – Race 6 3.5.8 / 3.5.8 / 3.5.8 / 2.4.6.7 $50 for 208.33% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 8th November 2020 Race 1 – No. 3 Record Me No luck on debut over 520m when trying to make ground along the fence early, only to be knocked from pillar to post, eventually finishing at the rear. May appreciate the drop in distance and is worth an Each Way ticket in an open line up. Race 2 – No. 4 Chuck The Rest Finished on the podium in all three runs over this trip, including a best of the day and all the way 15.99 win from a similar draw. Only needs to replicate that effort and his rivals won’t get anywhere near him. Race 11 – No. 2 Bonbie Mariah Speedy up and comer making her short course debut from a favourable draw. Has placed here when leading a long way over the 520m in the past so she will handle the track. Should take plenty of catching again. Bet Now! Bet Now!
