Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on February 14, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 1 No.1 Rothfire Unbeaten youngster from the Heathcote stable who resumes tomorrow with his aim being the rich ‘Jewel’ race on the Gold Coast in 4 weeks. Judging by his recent Doomben trial win he’s improved over the break which is a scary thought for his opposition. No flash price on offer however he should be making a winning return. RACE 7 No.15 Ingear Filly from the Tony Gollan stable who looks ideally placed tomorrow dropping back to 1200m. Although clocking in 3rd over 1400m last start behind the smart Baroda she just didn’t quite find the line as well as that filly after looming up to win earlier in the straight. Drawn perfectly she can park in the first few & from there it’s hard to see her being beaten. RACE 8 No.14 Eric The Eel With a name like that he really only needs to string a few races together to move into ‘cult’ territory & he just might be able to kick a sequence with a win tomorrow. Definitely suited over further as his prep wears on however fresh over the 1200m with the long straight & a slick tempo up front he’s a big chance of mowing down the opposition late. Quaddie 4, 8, 9, 11, 12 15 8, 14 5, 6, 10, 13 Market Market
