Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on April 9, 2024April 9, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 MAKDANE hit the line strongly in a decent maiden first up and will appreciate 1400m. OUR SASSY LADY and AUTUMN STORM have both jumped out well and there wasn’t much between them when they jumped out together. HIDDEN COMFORT did enough on debut without the best of luck. VICTORY COMMAND has jumped out ok to resume and gets blinkers first time. Selections: 4,8,2,7 Suggested Bet: Makdane to win Race 2 ETINCELLE was heavily backed on debut on the back of some encouraging jumpouts but pulled up with cardiac arrythmia. Trusting the stable that he’s bounced back from that experience and he should be in the finish. NEVER LET ME GO is racing well and should appreciate 1200m. CORONATION DRIVE has jumped out in good style and looks suited at this trip on debut. MINTMAN showed talent in his first prep and has jumped out nicely. TELESCOPE will give a sight on speed. Selections: 2,6,1,3 Suggested Bet: Etincelle each way Race 3 Most of the debutants have looked good at the jumpouts. KHADIME moved sweetly to win a recent jumpout and looks set to make her presence felt on debut. BLUE ALLURE may not have handled the straight last start but her first up run behind Ameena reads well. ATELLA MISS and GELLHORN have both jumped out in particularly good style. Selections: 5,3,2,4 Suggested Bet: Happy to look and learn Race 4 MAKRANA is racing well and looks hard to beat with B.Shinn staying aboard following her latest run in a decent race at Yarra Valley. INTO YOU made an early move in a solidly run Alister Clark, if she’s recovered ok from that first test in this distance range then she’ll also take plenty of beating. PINK CHANDON may be looking for the trip now. WAY UP HIGH covered ground first up and will strip fitter. Selections: 3,4,5,6 Suggested Bet: Makrana to win Race 5 VERMILLION DRAGON won impressively in a solidly run 1500m maiden on debut. He’s faces the challenge of rising in distance and grade but has the pedigree and the stable behind him to cope. KENTUCKY NICK was luckless last start but is more effective on form ground. AMPHACTOR had excuses last start and will be at peak fitness now. SACRED EAGLE had his chance last time and may appreciate the rise in trip. JAYROD TOO is in the game if he reproduce his last run. Selections: 5,3,7,6 Suggested Bet: Vermillion Dragon to win Race 6 ELDEBERRY has jumped out well since her last start victory and has some tactical versatility. SMART DEEL has impressed at her two run for the new stable and gets down in the weights after the claim. NAICONI resumes from a lengthy break and was placed at listed level at her latest run. She’s jumped out well but her most recent jumpout was 22 January? PICKY may need some luck from the draw but will appreciate 1200m. JOLTIN’ JOE had excuses last time. Selections: 6,10,2,8 Suggested Bet: 6,2,10 & 8 for the quaddie Race 7 MAGARTEN handles soft ground and continues to race well. He should get every chance from a low draw with the claim. CANDY LOVE will strip fitter and appreciate stepping up to 1500m. VAIL MOUNTAIN won his maiden in dominant fashion last start and gives the impression he’ll cop with the extra 100m. ARDEN GREEN has jumped out well to resume. ALLAPERCANTO and GRINZINGER ACE have claims. Selections: 3,9,6,4 Suggested Bet: Magarten each way Race 8 Speed should be solid. BARBY’S DOLL drops back from Group 1 company and her previous form was strong. She’s deep into her first prep but looks hard to beat if she’s come through the trip to Sydney ok. COCO SUN has a touch of class and will strip fitter for her first up win. HEED THEE OMENS knuckled down well to break his maiden last start and is open to further improvement. PALENTINO HEIGHTS may want further but ran well in a stronger race first up and will be charging late. ROCK THE BAR is in the game if he can settle better than last start. Selections: 8,1,4,7 Suggested Bet: Barby’s Doll each way Market Market
