Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on July 18, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 ASSEMBLE was slowly away on debut and ran well under the circumstances, the run in the distance range should hold her in good stead. FLYING CONCELLO has impressed at shorter trips and gives every impression she will cope with 1300m. GINGER AND PINK backs up quickly after a disappointing run at Geelong and having no luck at Caulfield the start before. BON MISTRESS has jumped out well. Selections: 3,1,6,4 Suggested Bet: Quin/Ex 3,1 & 6 Race 2 THE DEVIL IN HER ran well against the pattern of the day last start after an impressive maiden win, she should relish the Hillside circuit. WONDERWALL didn’t have much luck last time following her strong maiden victory. LUNA DIVA will no doubt strip fitter for her first up run. KANDYAN, LADY BERYL and FINE REBEL have claims. Selections: 8,7,2,5 Suggested Bet: The Devil In Her to win Race 3 DILLIAN has been any eye-catcher at his two Australian runs and 2400m on Hillside looks a most suitable option. CHRISTMAS dominated an easier race last start and appears on an upward spiral. THE CUNNING FOX can mix his form but looks ready for this trip and the claim helps. ZAYNUDIN and PACHINO are in the mix. Selections: 2,5,4,9 Suggested Bet: Dillian to win Race 4 ARNOLD gets a weight turn around on BIGOLINO from their recent meeting. Arnold was first up on that occasion and is sure to strip fitter, while Bigolino should give another great sight on speed despite the weight rise. MAGNETIC PRINCE has returned in great form and must be included after finishing between Bigolino and Arnold last start. MARCHONS ENSEMBLE did enough over 1200m first up. BIG BREW and CRU CLASSE are worth considering. Selections: 4,1,8,2 Suggested Bet: Arnold each way Race 5 PEREILLE has been tight in the market at all his runs to date and looked good breaking his maiden when he resumed as a gelding last time. BITOFTHEBLARNEY impressed winning on debut and the second horse has since won in good style. FIELD OF FLUTES and EPIC CENTRE look part of the speed and are both capable of figuring in the finish. Selections: 5,7,3,2 Suggested Bet: Pereille to win Race 6 NICCOLITE ran well in a stronger race last start and should relish a solidly run 1000m on this track. COTEL drops back in grade and trip and should secure a good run just behind the speed. HISSY FIT is tiny but has a good motor, she’s jumped out well to resume. STARLEA may be better suited dropping back in trip in a race of decent tempo. FACE THE JURY won well last start and Bitoftheblarney will provide some guide on that form line in the previous race. Selections: 5,4,10,8 Suggested Bet: Niccolite each way Race 7 Even race. Fresh is best with EXTREME STEP, she’s been jumping out well and with four recent jumpouts under her belt should be forward enough for 1300m. SIG POSITANO draws wide, as opposed to his last start win from the inside draw but has to be included. KALIUWAA FALLS is going well for the new stable and seems to appreciate having his runs spaced. LA MARITA could be a blowout, she’s jumped out well for the new stable. MASTER OF CHANT has been jumping out quite well for his local debut. Selections: 12,1,10,13 Suggested Bet: Extreme Step each way Race 8 SAINT BATHANS looks well graded with the drop in class and the claim. He’s not easy to catch but this race should set up well for him. TROSETTE has run well at both runs this preparation, a solid tempo up front should suit both him and Saint Bathans. From a low draw THE NEPHEW should find a good spot behind the speed. Can be forgiving of AZALY’s run as a short priced favourite on the Parks track at Morphettville last start. Selections: 1,5,11,8 Suggested Bet: Saint Bathans each way Market Market
