Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on February 14, 2023February 14, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SKYWRITER hit the line strongly on debut and looks suited stepping up to 1300m. ANY ZOUWILLDO raced greenly on debut following some encouraging jumpouts, he should benefit from that experience. TIGGERIFIC will strip fitter for his first up run in a strong maiden. VALENCONI will be close to peak fitness and maps for a good run. TASS has been jumping out ok to debut. Selections: 9,2,6,10 Suggested Bet: Skywriter to win Race 2 FISTOFFURY, the only winner in the race, impressed over 1200m on debut and looks suited by the rise in trip. APULIA will be better for his debut behind a smart galloper and gets winkers on. CARNIVAL ROW and HOW DARE YOU were ok behind Fistoffury on debut, they both get blinkers. FREAKOFNATURE and ROGUERY has trialled quite well together. Selections: 1,2,3,5 Suggested Bet: Fistoffury to win Race 3 GREECE is highly regarded by the stable and was given a pretty quiet time in a recent jumpout. ARCTIC FAIRY has looked sharp in her recent jumpouts. MR TICKLES will be better over a bit further but has trialled well to resume and has plenty of upside. LITTLE MIIS KUBI might be suited coming back to 1000m. The form through MANHATTAN THUNDER’s runs to date is strong. Selections: 4,5,2,9 Suggested Bet: Greece to win Race 4 LADY HAMPTON ran well first up and should appreciate 1300m. PACIFIC RUBY is building a good record and showed good fight to win first up. SEONEE has jumped out in great style to resume. BOSS QUEEN has been back to the trials since her last run and impressed when ridden with s bit of intent. Not sure waht to make of BOTANY’s jumpouts but she has talent. Selections: 8,1,2,6 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 8,1,2 & 6 Race 5 Competitive race with plenty of depth. DASHING ran well at our elite level as a spring 3yo and has jumped out well to resume. CRADLE OF LIFE recorded some good late sectionals last start, he come back slightly in trip but will be strong late. SIR ATLAS was another to hit the line strongly last start when winning on debut. HE’S HANDSOME, PROSCENIUM ARCH, EBONY KING and SPIRIT BEAST have claims. Selections: 1,4,3,14 Suggested Bet: Dashing each way Race 6 PORT ALBERT gets blinkers off after leading last start, that form looks strong after Rich Fortune’s win at Group level last Saturday. SENEGALIA improved nicely second up, her form ties in with JOSEYLIN. DANAUSTAR hasn’t fired first up previously but has jumped out well to resume. LLOYD’S CROWN will strip fitter and make his own luck. TAX FREE PROPHET will likely miss that start but will be charging late. TORI’S DEE and WHO SHOT SUZY are chances in an open race. Selections: 5,14,7,3 Suggested Bet: Port Albert each way Race 7 EDITH appeared to peak on her run first up and is sure to have derived benefit from that run. BOLD BOURBON is fit and racing well, as is THE CLAIMANT. ELECTRIC BELLE got the better of Edith two runs back and gives the impression that 1800m will be ok. HEARTS AND MINDS didn’t have much luck last time and has been kept up to the mark with a jumpout between runs. Selections: 11,6,7,5 Suggested Bet: Edith to win Race 8 Typically tough finish. RAPID ACHIEVER is unbeaten first up and has jumped out well to resume. SABAR looks progressive, his two wins this preparation have been full of merit and he’s right in the mix should he gain a start. NETANYAHU is fit and racing well, he maps well and doesn’t look badly treated after the claim. MISO has been kept fresh since his last start win and the form around him is holding up well. FANCYLANSKI (should she gain a start) and MERRY MAC BOY have claims. Selections: 11,16,2,7 Suggested Bet: Rapid Achiever each way Market Market
