Warren Huntly’s Saturday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on September 8, 2023September 8, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 AUTUMN ANGEL won well first up. She should be suited by the rise in trip and her previous form through Legacies reads well. There wasn’t much between FISTOFFURY and DUAL PRESSURE last start and they both look competitive again. APULIA had a confidence booster first up and has form behind Veight, which ties in with Autumn Angel and Legacies. Selections: 7,3,1,4 Suggested Bet: Autumn Angel to win Race 2 PLACE OF GOLD is having a good campaign, he’s been back to the jumpouts between runs and gets blinkers first time. BLAZERRO will make his own luck from the inside draw and looks suited at 1600m now. SOKANON worked home strongly at his first Australian start and should appreciate the rise in trip. THE CREATOR will be part of a solid tempo and should be fitter for hid last run over 1600m. VITRUVIUS will be charging late. Selections: 7,3,5,11 Suggested Bet: Place Of Gold each way Race 3 Even race. PACHINO stuck on well in Sydney last time and his previous Melbourne form is solid. SUPERSTOCK got the right run to win last start in a similar race, he draws wider here but with any luck is still in the game. MAGNASPIN had the pattern in his favour to win here two starts back and looks suited coming back in trip. ALORS TU CROIS won well here at her latest run and should secure another good run. FEARENTLESS has claims and any rain would be a bonus. Selections: 2,5,4,6 Suggested Bet: Pachino each way Race 4 There appears to be good speed despite the small field and RECOMMENDATION should get his chance to atone for a luckless run last start. SAVANNAH CLOUD doesn’t run poorly. He may be looking for a little further second up, but the small field and likely strong tempo should play in his favour. BUOYANTSEA brings some solid NZ form and has been jumping out well for the new stable. CORNER POCKET has jumped out ok to resume and races well here. Selections: 5,2,4,1 Suggested Bet: Recommendation to win Race 5 Intriguing and potentially tactical race. STEPARTY has impressed in his ‘off season’ wins and gives every indication he can measure up to stronger company. BRAVE MEAD has jumped out impressively to resume, he won well here before being tested and the elite level in Sydney. SCENTIFY won with some authority, courtesy of a great ride, over AMUR and others first up and both are open to improvement from that run. ARMED FORCES is still a maiden but has been trialling well. Selections: 4,3,5,1 Suggested Bet: Steparty to win Race 6 CHARM STONE looked good beating another smart filly first up and looks set to go on with it this campaign. INHIBITIONS made up for her luckless first up run with a dominant win but narrow win here second and can measure up in this stronger contest. TREASURWAY has jumped out impressively behind Giga Kick and finished her last preparation with a Group 3 win. RIGHT TO PARTY and MOLLYNICKERS will be strong late. Selections: 1,5,2,7 Suggested Bet: Charm Stone to win Race 7 BERKELEY SQUARE won his only start to date here over this trip and has been progressing well this preparation. If he’s to progress on to better races this spring he should be the testing material here. FULL OF SINCERITY comes through the same race as Berkeley Square and should also be suited by the step up to 2040m. FUTURE HISTORY was well ridden to score here last time and should strip even fitter. GOLD TRIP has earned his weight, he semms to be trialling ok and kicks off at a suitable trip. JIMMY THE BEAR backs up from a solid run last week but has to be some query and 2040m. Selections: 7,14,11,1 Suggested Bet: Berkeley Square each way Race 8 GIGA KICK has been jumping out in great style. He’s already one of the country’s best sprinters and should be charging late against small but quality field. ROTHFIRE won this race last year off a similar break and has trialled well to resume. IMPERATRIZ tackles 1000m for the first time but is a Group 1 winner here and should be storming home with Giga Kick. ACROMANTULA and ZOUSTYLE are talented sprinters who can give a sight on speed. Selections: 1,2,5,4 Suggested Bet: Giga Kick to win Race 9 There should be good speed through DENY KNOWLEDGE, SAVATOXL, TUVALA and GOLDMAN, with GLOBE not far away. Globe faces his toughest test to date but is still an untapped talent and gives every indication he can measure up to this grade. ATTRITION and PINSTRIPED have the benefit of a recent run under their belts and should appreciate a solid tempo up front. FRANCESCO GUARDI and LUNAR FLARE are others that should be hitting the line strongly. Selections: 11,13,3,7 Suggested Bet: Globe to win Feature Race Multi – R9H11 Globe to win with H13 Attrition and H7 Pinstriped to finish top four There should be good speed through Deny Knowledge, Savatoxl, Tuvalu and Goldman, with Globe not far away. Globe faces his toughest test to date but is still an untapped talent and gives every indication he can measure up to this grade. Attrition and Pinstriped have the benefit of a recent run under their belts and should appreciate a solid tempo up front. Franceso Guardi and Lunar Flare are others that should be hitting the line strongly. Race 10 Another race where there appears to be a strong tempo. ULYSSES has returned in good form, he was caught in the wrong part of the track last start and will appreciate the likely solid speed up front. FIRST IMMORTAL is a promising stayer that has been jumping out in great style. HENNESSY LAD got the right run to win last start and looks competitive again. REAL SENSATION comes through a strong race first up and will be strong late. QUEEN AIR and RUSSIAN RONI have claims in a deep race. Selections: 2,6,10,13 Suggested Bet: Ulysses each way Market Market
