Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 19, 2018April 19, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: BOOK INTO THE BEAU RIVAGE AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE TISADREAM (2) is a smart frontrunner who resumes here without a trial. He probably wasn’t at his best towards the end of his last campaign but will be hard to catch here if anywhere near his top. LORD WILLOUGHBY (3) ran on strongly to finish 3rd here last week and is better drawn tonight. THE ACCUMULATOR (8) worked hard when 4th in the same race and this looks slightly easier. TOUCH OF SUCCESS (10) looks a place chance from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 2 3 8 10 Suggested Bet: TISADREAM (2) to win. Race 2: $7 HAHN SUPERDRY PINTS AT JP`S SPORTSBAR THE JOHNSON MARES QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MS PACE MILLVIEW SIENNA (1) led throughout to win her last two starts before a spell but couldn’t get up on speed at her first two starts back from a break. She impressed here last week when breezing and proving too strong for Bettor Boa and looks extremely hard to beat from the pole. RED HOT ROXY (3) won three of her previous four before disappointing last start. She has trialled fairly since and looks the main danger. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (2) has been placed at her last four and should be in the finish again. MARY CATHERINE (8) was good last start but is drawn wide. Tips: 1 3 2 8 Suggested Bet: MILLVIEW SIENNA (1) to win.\ Race 3: BOOK YOUR NEXT CONFERENCE AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE EL JACKO (4) was an impressive 1.55.2 winner two starts back and lost no admirers when beaten into 2nd after doing all the work last week. This looks easier and he should be winning if he does everything right. ARTHUR LOWE (11) was a nice 2nd here last week and should be in the finish from his nice trailing draw. ROBERT THE BRUCE (8) is the other class runner of the field and can overcome the draw to be in the money. IDEAL FLIPFLOP (1) has the draw to be placed. Tips: 4 11 8 1 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (4) to win. Race 4: E-BRIDAL EXPO AT GLOUCESTER PARK MAY 19 & 20 WA OAKS PRELUDE MS PACE OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (6) broke through for her first WA win when facing the breeze and recording a narrow but impressive win over AMELIAS COURAGE (5) last week. She is drawn poorly again but will give a great sight. LIBERTY ROSE (1) won both of her WA starts before breaking gear last start and looks extremely hard to beat from the pole. MISS SANGRIAL (10) should get a perfect run and split the favoured pair two starts back. AMELIAS COURAGE (5) was a close 2nd last week but may not find the front tonight. Tips: 6 1 10 5 Suggested Bet: OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (6) to win. Race 5: MEMORIAL DAY STAKES MS PACE WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (4) struggled to win last campaign but has won two of his three this time in and was ultra-impressive in beating El Jacko last start. This actually looks easier and he can make it two on end. FUTURIST (1) was a strong last start winner and he might not have the speed to hold up but shouldn’t be far away at the finish. MILITARY MASTER (8) is the other class runner of the field but has a tough draw to overcome. FROSTYFLYER (2) was a good winner two starts back and can play a part from this barrier. Tips: 4 1 8 2 Suggested Bet: WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (4) to win. Race 6: MANNA HOMELESS FOR A NIGHT – SATURDAY 16TH JUNE MS PACE OUR JACCKA MARA (1) is racing consistently and performs well when drawn favourably. He has options at the start and should be in the finish. BAD ROUND (2) battled with bad barriers but his last two runs have been full of merit and can play a part. ONEONTHEWOOD (12) performs better in standing start events but this represents a drop in class. TRUSTYTREV (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 12 10 Suggested Bet: OUR JACCKA MARA (1) each way. Race 7: WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU 3YO MS PACE BECHERS BROOK (9) ran on well to win the Western Gateway and then flooded home from the rear when a narrow 2nd in the WA Derby. The small field suits and he looks the one to beat. GOLDEN STATE (8) crossed from a wide barrier but knocked up late in the WA Derby but will be better suited by the shorter distance. BRIGHT DIAMOND (3) has been desperately unlucky at his last three and is due for a change of luck. MISTER SPOT (6) ran on well in the Derby and could represent value. Tips: 9 8 3 6 Suggested Bet: BECHERS BROOK (9) to win. SuperPick - Race 7 No. 9 Bechers Brook - Money Back Race 8: BOOK A PRIVATE BOX AT GLOUCESTER PARK DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE THE BUCKET LIST (9) bounced back to his best when storming home to beat a similar field in track record time last start. He goes back to a 40m handicap but did win by 25m in that race so is still the one to beat. ROCK DIAMONDS (5) just battled when 5th in that race but is capable of improvement. TOMMY BE GOOD (8) is suited by the stand and small field and will be charging home. THE REAL NADAL (2) led and ran 2nd in that track record and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 9 5 8 2 Suggested Bet: THE BUCKET LIST (9) to win. Race 9: GLOUCESTER PARK – ENTERTAINMENT WITH HORSEPOWER MS PACE IM MASTER CHARLIE (1) has been unplaced at his three starts this campaign but hasn’t had the chance to be put into the race in any of them. He is drawn perfectly tonight and can improve dramatically. MAJOR CATASTROPHE (8) isn’t suited by the sprint trip but has the strength to be put into this race early. DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (3) is another who hasn’t had a chance top settle near the lead recently and should improve here. ITSALLABOUT NICOLE (6) has speed and should be suited by the sprint trip. Tips: 1 8 3 6 Suggested Bet: IM MASTER CHARLIE (1) to win. Race 10: TABTOUCH – THE BRAND THAT FUNDS THE INDUSTRY MS PACE CARTER MICHEAL (7) won three on end in January but has disappointed at his past three starts. He has a hood added since he ran 2nd at Narrogin and would win this if he can produce his best. BESOTTED (8) has been working up to form and was held up when 3rd last week. He has a nice turn of foot and should be charging home late. WALKABOUT CREEK (1) probably isn’t at his top but must be considered from the pole over the sprint trip. SHARDONS ROCKET (9) battled on well for 2nd last start and can still run a race despite the draw. Tips: 7 8 1 9 Suggested Bet: BESOTTED (8) each way. Bet Now
