Race 1

VULCAN STAR (4) couldn’t get into the race at his last start but looks a major player based on his 2^nd to Paroquet at his previous run. BEAT THE BANK (11) has been racing very consistently at country tracks and is ready for the rise in class. MISTER MONTBLANC (10) is likely to be shuffled back on the pegs early but he has won three of his last four starts and can figure if he has some luck in running. WAIT FOR THE BELL (1) is racing well but is likely to be crossed at the start.

Race 2

PAROQUET (1) led throughout here two start back and should give them something to catch from the pole. TALKS UP A STORM (5) performed well in the Nights Of Thunder series including a 2^nd to Pinny Tiger in 1.51.8 before disappointing at his last start so must be taken on trust. POCKET THE CASH (6) ran a nice 3^rd to Handsandwheels two starts back and can play a part. SPECIAL LADY (10) doesn’t have the class of her main rivals but will enjoy a soft run and can be placed.

Race 3

JAMES BUTT (2) couldn’t reel in the leader in a quick last half here last week and looks the one to beat tonight. DISCO UNDER FIRE (1) led throughout here five starts back and must be considered from the pole over this distance. KNOW WHEN TO RUN (10) broke back into the winners’ circle with a dominant victory here last week and should enjoy a nice run just off the speed. MIRRAGON (7) loves the sprint trip and has good gate speed but is drawn outside of his main rivals.

Race 4

VALENTINES BROOK (3) brought up his 4^th consecutive win in 1.53.3 here last week and is ready for the rise in class. THE IDEAL TOUCH (4) struggled from the breeze against a stronger field at his last start but looks better suited tonight. BOOM TIME (1) resumes here and will be hard to beat if close to peak fitness but he normally takes a run or two after a spell before he shows his best. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (2) will strip fitter for her close-up 4^th here last week and should enjoy a nice run in transit.

Race 5

THE AMBER HARE (5) will strip fitter for her first-up 3^rd in good time last week and should give a great sight. NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (6) won three in a row before never looking comfortable when wide over the sprint trip last week and can bounce back here. NULLABOR NAVAJO (2) is in career best form and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her upset the fancied pair with the right run. MISSTIANO (1) has been unplaced in her last four starts but can improve sharply from the pole.

Race 6

PATRONUS STAR (10) sprinted home well to beat a similar field here at his last start and will be hard to hold out if he sees daylight at the right time. HAMPTON BANNER (1) led when a close-up 3^rd here last week and should lead and give a great sight again. GLENLEDI CHIEF (7) is drawn poorly but has two wins and a 2^nd from his last three starts in similar company and will make his presence felt again. HANDSANDWHEELS (2) was beaten in a photo by GLENLEDI CHIEF (7) here last week and can play a part again.

Suggested Bet: PATRONUS STAR (10) to win.

Race 7

DONT BOTHER ME NONE (5) ran a strong 3^rd from the breeze at his last start and is clearly the one to beat in this line-up. MY PRAYER (2) has been unplaced in her seven starts this time in but looks a big improver here. SHADOW ROLL (11) was blocked for a run here last week and will be running on if there is a solid tempo. GEE SMITH (1) is limited but he can run a place from the pole in this field.

Race 8

PATCHED (8) has started from a handicap and defeated CHUMANI (1) at his last two starts and is clearly the one to beat off even handicaps from the mobile tonight. CHUMANI (1) has finished 2^nd to the favourite at his last two starts and is the obvious danger. EVAS IMAGE (2) has been performing well off back marks in easier company and can play a part. LINE THE STARZZZ (7) ran a nice 4^th in the Trotters Cup and should be thereabouts.

Race 9

MASTER YOSSI (1) ran two solid 2^nds at this track before being knocked out of the race in the early stages here last week. He is drawn to lead tonight and should give a great sight over the sprint trip. RAVEN BANNER (7) lost his winning chance at the start in his first Australian run but fought on well to finish 3^rd and has the ability to overcome the wide draw. ONESMARTFELLA (2) is the other winning chance but will need a bit of luck in running. STAR ARMBRO (3) could end up on the leader’s back and can be placed.
