The Scout: NFL Week 7 Posted on October 21, 2021October 22, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Kanas City Chiefs @ Tennessee Titans The Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) got a much needed win last week against Washington but now travel to the Tennessee Titans who have won two straight matches including a big win over the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately for the Titans they are facing the Chiefs on the back of a short week and although they may be tired, they will still be up for taking out one of the big names in the league. Derrick Henry has been fantastic this season and comes into this match off the back of a devastating performance against Buffalo which saw him score three touchdowns and run for 143 yards. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense looked menacing last outing against Washington after a slow start. The balance and harmony between Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman was on full display and shows the diversity of Mahomes and his passing options. Mahomes will certainly outduel Ryan Tenne Hill however the run-game of Derrick Henry and the form he is in cannot be overlooked. This will be a tight affair as both teams have a excellent offensive weapons, I think the Titans and Henry will keep it close so I will take the points. Suggested Bet: Titans +4.5 (Line) @ $1.91* Detroit Lions @ Los Angeles Rams The Detroit Lions (0-6) are yet to win a match as they travel to the Los Angeles Rams (5-1) who have had a great start to the season. Matthew Stafford will play his first game against his old team, and no one will expect him to take it easy on them. The Lions hit a massive wall last week at home against the Bengals which saw them get beaten 34-11. Detroit broke down defensively time and time again making too many mistakes which will be punished by a superior Rams side. The Rams have been relentless in destroying bad teams which was on full display in their season opening 34-14 win over the Bears and more recently a 38-11 demolition job on the Giants. Stafford has been dominant at his new home and is in the top 5 for touchdowns thrown (16) and yards thrown (1838 yards). This match features one of the best teams in the NFC taking on one of the worst, the Rams have taken care of better teams than the Lions. I expect Detroit to roll over once again and get handed one of their biggest losses of the season. Suggested Bet: Rams -15.5 (Line) @ $1.91* Philadelphia Eagles @ Los Angeles Raiders The Eagles (2-4) lost a close encounter with the Buccaneers 28-22 last match and now travel to the Raiders (4-2) who snapped a two game losing streak with a win over Denver 34-24. Philadelphia’s record does not accurately depict them as a team as three of their four losses have come against play-off calibre opponents in Dallas, Kansas City and Tampa Bay. What standouts is their performances against these teams as they went toe to toe with them for long periods of the match and put up some good scores. The Raiders have shown plenty of inconsistencies so far this season, in particular their last home match against the Bears. Nothing was working for the Raiders in that match, and they looked completely useless only managing 9 points, another home performance like that will see them certainly lose. Jalen Hurts continues to show signs of being a top-calibre quarterback but his due to only playing his second season in the NFL he lacks experience. What he does have is a great instinct for the game and his mobility and diverse passing will work perfectly against a Raiders defense who struggle to stop the pass. I expect the Eagles to be right in this game and to out class the Raiders at the end with a Hurts on the end of a game winning drive. Suggested Bet: Eagles (Win) @ $2.28* *Odds correct as at 10am, 22nd October 2021. Market Market
