The Scout: NFL Week 16 Posted on December 24, 2021December 24, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Los Angeles Rams @ Minnesota Vikings The Rams (10-4) are coming off a very short turnaround and despite winning three games in a row it will be a tough ask to continue their winning form. The Minnesota Vikings (7-7) have bounced back and won two straight matches and will be looking for an upset win at home. The Vikings despite holding a 7-7 record have played up or played down depending on the level of their opponent. When playing elite competition Minnesota are at their best and have had some big wins this season, most notably a victory over the Green Bay Packers. Kurt Cousins and the Vikings will test Los Angeles’ defense that ranks 23rd in the league in pass defense. Cousins has the ability to use his weapons to work around the Rams defensive strengths and can take advantage of a tired Rams outfit. Suggested Bet: Vikings WIN @ $2.55 Los Angeles Chargers @ Houston Texans The Los Angeles Chargers (8-6) have won two out of their last three matches while the Houston Texans (3-11) come into this match off a rare 30-16 victory over Jacksonville. The Chargers were handed a humbling home loss to the Chiefs but can take plenty of positives from this match as they played well. Despite fading in the AFC West battle, the Chargers can get back on track against one of the worst teams in the league. Texan’s rookie quarterback Davis Mills was solid in his victory over the Jaguars and will continue to improve but it will be Houston’s defense that lets them down. Houston’s defense allows 145 rushing yards per game which opens the door for Chargers Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson to pile up the yards. There were many lessons learned from the Charger’s loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs and they will bounce back against a Houston Texans defense that will struggle to contain them. Suggested Bet: Chargers -10.5 (Line) @ $1.91* Washington Football Club @ Dallas Cowboys The Washington Football Club (6-8) have lost two straight and now travel to the Dallas Cowboys (10-4) who are back to their winning ways winning three on the trot. Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are back on track and are coming up against a Washington side they already beat just a few weeks ago. Dallas came out in the first quarter on fire scoring a quick 18 points and finished the half up 24-0. However a lackluster second half saw the Washington Football Club slowly grind their way back into the game only to lose 27-20. Coming off a short week the Washington Football Club will struggle to score against a Cowboys defensive outfit that has performed exceptionally for most of the season. This is a perfect fixture at home for Prescott to get back into a rhythm and put up some big numbers, I expect the Cowboys to completely dominate Washington. Suggested Bet: Cowboys -10 (Line) @ $1.91* *Odds correct as at 7am, 24th December 2021. Market Market
