The Scout: EPL Matchday 29 Posted on March 1, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Brighton vs Huddersfield 2nd March, 11pm WST Brighton suffered a midweek 2-1 away loss to Leicester leaving them dangerously close to the relegation zone. They haven’t won a game so far this year, but will fancy their chances against the League’s worst team. Last placed Huddersfield are coming off a rare win (1-0 vs Wolves) but still face an almighty battle to avoid relegation. Brighton are a much improved side at home, and despite being strong favourites here, will have a fight on their hands. For mine, goals are a certainty. Four out of the last five Premier League matches for Brighton has seen over 2.5 goals, including a six goal match against Fulham earlier in the year. Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.45* Manchester United vs Southampton 2nd March, 11pm WST The impressive turnaround at Manchester United would seemingly be for nil if they miss out on a top four finish at the end of the season. Fixtures at Old Trafford against the sides in the bottom half of the ladder are must wins if the Red Devils are to play Champions League football next season. Southampton aren’t in a great place, floating in and out of the relegation zone, and coming up against a red-hot Manchester United team at home. This looks and almighty task for a side that has only won twice away from home all season. Manchester United have played great at Old Trafford since their revival and are currently unbeaten in 11 Premier League matches. Not only have they been winning at home, but they’re scoring goals, with eight of their last 11 home matches seeing 3+ goals. Southampton won’t be winning this match, but they should get some chances around goal with clean sheets being a rarity for Manchester United. All of United’s wins at Old Trafford this season have seen at least 3 goals I think this trend continues here. Suggested Bet: Match Result Manchester United & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.00* Watford vs Leicester 3rd March, 10pm WST 7th placed Watford have found their early season form playing exciting, high scoring football. A win against Leicester City would cap off a great start to 2019. Meanwhile, Leicester returned to the winners list with a midweek 2-1 home win over Brighton. This looms as a cagey affair with sides being well rounded in attack and quite strong at the defensive end. Watford have scored a goal at home in five of their last six Premier League matches and in each of those five matches, so have their opponents. Away from home Leicester have a great goal scoring record, finding the back of the net in their last five away matches in the Premier League.
