Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on March 1, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No.5 Rome Lightly raced youngster from the Team Snowden yard who ran a tidy 4th on debut in the Breeders Plate before having the one start in Queensland when placed however connections decided against pushing on to a Magic Millions campaign. As a result he’s going into tomorrow’s race nice and fresh and importantly with the blinkers going on for the first time. He wore them in a recent trial win when showing nice dash in the straight. RACE 7 No.12 Pohutukawa Godolphin trained filly who put in a cracking effort to place first up in the Light Fingers. Her final 200m split in the race was bettered only on the day by the champ Winx which is no mean feat. She showed a ton of promise in the spring and will appreciate the 1400m tomorrow. Great each-way chance. Race 8 No.2 Noire Consistent mare with a terrific second up record of 3 wins from 4 starts. She put in a terrific return performance here recently when just finding herself in an awkward spot when the pressure went on and the runs came from the back, she did get going nicely late though being beaten just over a length. Fitter and can add to that record tomorrow. Best Bet Race 8 No.2 Noire Best Value Race 7 No.12 Pohutukawa Quaddie 100% 5 4, 7, 12 1, 2, 4 1, 2, 3, 8 Market Market
