The Scout: Belgium vs Russia Posted on June 11, 2021June 11, 2021 | Posted by The Scout EURO 2020 Belgium enter Euro 2020 as one of the favourites to take out the tournament, and rightfully so. The number one ranked FIFA team in the world is littered with world-class talent including Kevin De Bryune (Manchester City), Eden Hazard (Real Madrid), and Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan). Russia might fancy themselves a chance to qualify from a relatively open Group B (outside of Belgium), but will likely be outclassed in this opening match. If they are to qualify, this doesn’t look like being the match to determine that (goal differential aside). These teams played twice in 2019 with Belgium claiming 4-1 and 3-1 victories. In fact, Russia have never beaten Belgium in their seven meetings. Belgium also secured 30 points from a possible 30 during qualification, with striker Romelu Lukaku scoring seven goals in five matches. Lukaku has been incredible over the last 12 months and might look a man against boys against this Russian side. He scored 24 goals and had 11 assists at club level this season, and could well stamp himself on the tournament in this opening game SUGGESTED BET: Belgium to Win Both Halves @ $5* *Odds correct as at 5pm, 11th June 2021.
