Prediction The Panthers have been nothing short of sensational in the playoffs beating the Seahawks 24-31 after leading 0-31 at the half and then blowing away the Cardinals 19-47 in a display highlighted by QB Cam Newton who threw 335 yards for two touchdowns and completing two himself. The Broncos have been less impressive, getting past the Steelers 16-23 after trailing at three quarter time and then holding on against the Patriots 18-20. Six-time MVP Peyton Manning will have to find a way around this Carolina defence if the Broncos are to cause an upset. For the Panthers to win they must buck some interesting Super Bowl trends like; last four favourites have lost the Super Bowl straight up and at the spread and only three have covered in the past 15 games. However with 20 degrees and fine weather forecast for San Francisco, expect the Panthers to win and cover the line with the Game Total over.
