Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 4, 2020December 4, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 IRON SHARP was ridden back last start and was bitterly disappointing when running a flat third behind Reguardless and Ishinca view. Start before split No Surrender and Ghobella and prior to that was nosed out by Life For A Life, beating home Western Empire. Paul Harvey on should mean positive tactics and that could prove the difference. KAPTAIN KAOS likely looks to lead them up and his trial suggested he has a stack of natural talent. LONG MAY YOU RUN was plain first-up. Looking for improvement but needs to as well. PERFECT GEM gets every chance along the fence. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – IRON SHARP WIN RACE 2 BOURBON BEAU was beaten out of sight on debut as a 2 year old but it was a strong race that he contested, All Day Session, Born to Rule, Billy Ain’t Silly, Bumper Humper and Madam Torio. Went back to trials so that the stable could put blinkers on and then again failed to fire a shot behind Clairvoyance and All Day Session. No blinkers in trial, no blinkers here and is clearly a better horse than beaten 25L in two outings. SHOOTING SHIROCCO went well on debut and should only improve for the experience. HOT MIX comes from what could prove a solid trial refence at Belmont when matching motors with What About Moi. Just drawn sticky. ARTIE wound up nicely late in his recent trial. Numbers: 7 – 11 – 13 – 5 Suggested Bet – BOURBON BEAU WIN RACE 3 ONE FOR THE ROAD was a big improver first-up to second-up when stepping out in trip. On debut was beaten 6L over 1200m but in a hot form reference race and then really caught the eye behind Fashion Queen last start. Makes the logical step to a mile and strikes a fairly limited maiden. Should be too good for these. FREQUENT FRIAR is no star and comes back to a mile. Interesting to see where Pateman ends up in the run from the inside gate. CHOOSE FREEDOM is honest and consistent. Runs the same race each time. RIDING HOOD FAME might be a 23 start maiden but since a freshen has really attacked the line. Numbers 6 – 1 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – ONE FOR THE ROAD WIN RACE 4 TREASURED PRIZE looked all at sea when leading them up (yes, I have the right horse this time #rookie #unclebob) and should be far better suited being allowed to drift back into the field and wind-up. On debut was caught 3 deep the trip behind Town Hall and Fashion Queen and then considering that the Cerise and White horses get lost in front was a good effort to hold onto second last time out. Arracity made that form look good during the week and she gets her chance. STAR SUBJECT really caught the eye late on debut. Got a long way out of her ground but savaged the line late. AT WAR promises to win races but seems to find bad luck and unsuitable patterns over and over again. VRUM is enigmatic but looks to have ability. Numbers: 10 – 12 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – TREASURED PRIZE WIN RACE 5 BLOW ME OUT looks a class above. Dominant winner first-up at Ascot when beating home subsequent Doowahdiddy, Alpha and Omega, Island Charm and Said No One Ever and Ghost Who Walks. From there went into the Burgess Queen and Champion Fillies when far from disgraced in either, getting within 5L of the winners. Drops back into a lowly C1 provincial 1300m and should run over them. MISS IVY LEAGUE pulled like a road train first-up. Pike jumps aboard replacing the suspended Kyra Yuill. Always a positive getting the great man on. ELLIE’N’PINK ran well first-up and then was luckless but disappointing second-up. SHEZABUTOO is showing glimpses but is also a 28 start C1. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – BLOW ME OUT WIN RACE 6 BRUTUS MAXIMUS has had four runs back in WA since returning to the stables of David Harrison. First-up run an encouraging second to progressive Taylor galloper Ohbeeh, second and third-up was piloted by a claiming apprentice who couldn’t seem to get him going and then after a let up was hitting the line powerfully when Paul Harvey returned to the saddle. Drawn a gate he looks ready to finally win another one. DIGNITY BAY ran a nice race behind Home In Five and Airlie Queen at Bunbury on Melb Cup Day. SNIPPY MISS is running out of chances but there is no better form combination than a class drop and Pike on. MORE SNITZEL was a solid first-up winner and won’t get a better chance to record back to back wins than this. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – BRUTUS MAXIMUS WIN RACE 7 SENTIMENTAL QUEEN is brilliantly placed by Hayden Ballantyne coming back into a C3. Has had two starts for Ballantyne and resumed in a 60+ Graduation at a mile when hitting the line well, before stepping into a 0MWLY 2200 and catching the eye behind Secret Pearl, Pink and Purple and Aragain. Two of the three horses in front of her progress to a Saturday staying race and she drops back in grade to a provincial C3. DIAMONDS FOR ALL is flying for Rob Smith and always goes round at double figures. Keep safe. SUNSET CRUISE ran them ragged last start and looks like she’ll stay all day. TRADE THUNDER dominated them at Geraldton. Numbers: 3 – 9 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – SENTIMENTAL QUEEN WIN RACE 8 THE CAT RATCHER looks to have found his race. Has been knocking on the door in higher grade races than this recently and now drops back into a C3, and importantly Paul Harvey sticks. Two starts ago finished a fifth behind Treasured Crown, Come Right Back, Mosseratti and Amarissa is a 66+, beating home the likes of Aragain, Sugar Cain, British Bessy and Vintage Stock. Repeat of that performance sees him going awfully close. UPWARD OTHERS is hit and miss but there are a lot of punters who have been following him. XAN BIO was given a cheeky ride by Boy Hill last start when trying to settle her closer to the speed and take every short cut on offer. PRETTY FRIAR should get the run of the race. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – THE CAT RATCHER WIN RACE 9 TRADENSIA is lightly raced, super progressive and made a mess of them first-up with 60kg. Draws wide but there is a fair bit of speed in this race in various parts of the line and she is also extremely versatile. Can be ridden to suit conditions and looks like she is about to go right through the grades. ABERDEEN QUEEN was a bit stiff first-up when getting back in traffic and only getting out when the race was over. OUR IDYLL ran them into the ground last start and has hit form at the right time. WEE RIPPER will get back but has a big turn of foot. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – TRADENSIA WIN RACE 10 ROGUES POINT has taken a few runs to find his feet with Justin Warwick since coming across from Tassie and the East Coast. No luck first-up in a 66+, no luck second-up in a 60+, no luck third-up in a C3, eye catching fourth-up in a C5. Drops back into a C1, draws to box seat and gets back out to a mile. Perfectly placed to break through. SEE YA CHAMP has run back to back rippers for Graeme Ballantyne. If they’re making ground, she’s the big danger and definitely worth saving on. DYNAMIC FORCE is knocking on the door and slowly improving into the campaign. LAYLO gave real cheek first-up at York. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 11 – 14 Suggested Bet – ROGUES POINT WIN Quad (R7 – R10) 1,3,8,9 2,3,5,7 2,3,4,8,9,(10) 3,8 Market Market
