Scott Embry’s Saturday Broome Preview Posted on July 6, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 GLORYLAND is just an out and out dirt specialist. Jumps straight to the front, tries to pull Bonnie Palise’s arms out and should put on another front running exhibition. As he steps out in trip this preparation he should only become more and more dominant. PENHOUSE PET may be able to slot in behind the leader and follow him around for the vast majority of the race. REZAK was an encouraging run at his first WA start. Should have a consistent preparation. SALAMAAT won at cricket score odds first-up and rounds out the first four. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – GLORYLAND WIN Race 2 TOM ALMIGHTY has been improving at every run this preparation. Loomed like the winner last start but couldn’t reel in Red Glow and looked to possibly peak on the run. Gets a 1.5kg weight swing and should get closer to turning the tables. Not a lot between them. RED GLOW was a shade disappointing at his first couple of starts in Broome this season but was sharp last time out and should hold form. Extremely hard to run down. EMJYE ran third behind that pair last start and looks destined to run there again. FERNGROVE is yet to reach his form of last preparation. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – TOM ALMIGHTY WIN Race 3 SENSE OF DENIAL was unable to take up a prominent position in running last start and really raced flat considering how impressive he was at his first two dirt runs. Stable suggested he may not have handled the 7 day back up. Forgiving. TOMOHAWK continues to be slow away and the day that he springs the gates he will be winning. THROUGH THE GLASS was a genuine go at his first start in the region. Backed off the charts and was only fair. OCEAN DIGGER is improving fitness wise this preparation and watch out for the day the stable engages Peter Hall. Grows a leg for the King of Broome. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – SENSE OF DENIAL WIN Race 4 RAKNIKAR should be able to work forwards and lead them up here. Far from disgraced beaten over 7 lengths when punching wide for a long way. If he can find the fence he’ll take some running down. ZACKARIAH BEAU only beat moderate maiden opposition at his first start up North but it was the way he won that suggests he’ll win his fair share. LITTLE SINCERO is honest and always there abouts. OUTSPOKEN DUKE tends to get back in his races which is never a great sign for racing on the dirt but his form in Perth is sound. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – RAKNIKAR EACHWAY Race 5 DIAMOND TONIQUE sustained a long run to absolutely bolt in. John Gangemi has his team low flying and it would be no surprise to see him win again. Like horses who can make a run a fair way from home and build momentum. I’M A BLUEBAGGER is one paced but will keep rolling and keep giving in his races. If Altieri finds the front and gets him going a long way from home they’ll know they’re in a race. SLICK TALKER is three weeks between runs and drawn to get a lovely soft run in behind the leading pair. The mile looks right up his alley. STAR OF VEGAS was huge two starts ago and never got in the race last time out. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – DIAMOND TONIQUE WIN Race 6 SALTY was ultra impressive at his first start in Broome hitting the line hard from well off them. He then absolutely brained fairly good opposition last time out and ran serious time. That form will hold up. CORPORATE STRETEGY is capable of going through the grades this preparation and should prove the testing material. WELL SPOKEN MAN generally finds the front and makes his own luck. DESERT THORN was a little below par at his most recent. Form prior, excellent. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – SALTY WIN Race 7 A GOOD PLAN jumps and leads and runs. His first up run was very strong, clocking excellent sectionals and only fading late. Any sort of mid race breather and he will be incredibly hard to run down. DIXIE WIN ran around at his first start in the region. Expect improvement. RED HOT FLIRT has natural speed to put himself into races. Will pick up a C1 sooner rather than later. FROSTY BAY went well last start in a race where most of the field was gone a fair way from home. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – A GOOD PLAN WIN Quadie (Races 4 – 7) 1,2 3,4,5,7,8 6 1 Market Market
