Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on October 15, 2021October 15, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 15th October 2021 Race 3 – No. 4 Wyangapinni Dropping in distance after racing without much luck over the 405m of late. Has shown plenty of toe early in the past and looks suited to this trip. Go very close in this. Race 9 – No. 6 Bill Monelli Has only finished outside the top 4 twice in his 13 start career. Has the early pace to overcome the wide drawn and looks destined for another podium finish in this line up. Race 10 – No. 1 West On Fever Unbeaten at the T/D and in search for four in a row. Drawn ideally in red and should lead them all the way again. Each Way: Race 2 – No. 1 Wild Tony Has failed to beat a runner home in any of his past three where he seemed to be lacking in confidence but did have a few excuses and has been freshened up for this. Capable of leaving in a hurry on his night and could surprise while fresh from the favourable draw. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.4 / 1.6 / 3.8 / 1.5 $50 for 208.33% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 16th October 2021 Race 4 – No. 1 Jackson County Powerful finisher who finished 4th this time last year in an All Stars when making his Cannington debut. Has gone on to finish top 3 in 14 of 24 here at the trip since and is sure to make his presence felt again. Race 8 – No. 6 We The People Made it two on the trot when accounting for a small line up n impressive style last week, dropping back to this trip for the first time since February and posting a BON 29.80 when saluting by nearly 6 lengths. This field has more depth and not drawn as well but if she finds room to move in, she will prove hard to hold out. Race 9 – No. 4 Buller Monelli Makes his 600m debut after the best effort so far of his career, a powerful 29.82 win over 520m last week from a similar draw. Rarely far away from the action and should not disappoint himself over this journey either. Each Way: Race 2 – No. 7 Hecton’s Boy Game in defeat last week when runner up in a new PB of 30.14. Will need to go a bit quicker to win this but with plenty of pace drawn to the rail, there’s every hope that early leaders will find bother and he’ll be the one to pounce. Another podium finish looks likely. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2 / 1.8 / 4.5 / 2.3.4.6 $50 for 156.25% Trifecta – Race 6 1.8 / 1.8 / 2.4.5.7 $30 for 375% First Four – Race 5 1.2 / 1.2.3.8 / 1.2.3.4.8 / 1.2.3.4.7.8 %50 for 92.59% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 17th October 2021 Race 1 – No. 7 Redefine Rarely wins but he also rarely runs a bad race, having 21 placings beside his 2 wins in his 33 starts so far. His only win in WA was from this draw and should be thereabouts at the business end again. Race 6 – No. 4 Barriles In search of a hat trick in his 302m debut after blitzing rivals in good times over longer at his past couple. If he brings his early pace down to this journey, they won’t get near him again. Race 10 – No. 1 Bravo Monelli Finally broke through at his 8th start when scoring narrowly in a PB of 22.85. Will find this tougher but has drawn the rails for the first time and can go on with the job now he has the taste. Bet Now! Bet Now!
