Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview

Race 1

ROSE OF CLARE (5) has come on the scene and dominated her first two race starts and looks very hard to hold out again, looks to have a bit of depth and this should be at her mercy again. IWILL NEVER KNOW (7) can do the work in his races and likely to head forward but could also help push the likely favourite to the top. ZLATO (8) raced well in his last few, but this draw makes it significantly harder. SNAKEY BAY (2) better last run and can be placed with novelty chances to CARA DIANA (3). CHIEF COPY (6) could get a decent run and not be far away and THE SWINDLER (11) is suited in this grade and tempo could suit her, keep safe.

Suggested Bet: ROSE OF CLARE (5) to win.

Race 2

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE (4) looks a nice type and won with a leg in the air on debut at Bunbury, looks like he will improve a lot more with experience but seems to have the raw ability, has the draw advantage and will be hard to beat. FABULOUS DREAM (9) I think has been nominated and scratched in her last three runs, this screams an issue for this highly talented filly, if she makes it to the track, she is going to be right in the finish, but the draw does hurt first up. JUST BETTY (5) has shown promise last time in and can have a good preparation this time in. LITTLE MISS MOLLY (7) was a nice winner on debut for the new stable, this is a lot harder and looks more of a novelty chance with STELLA DELIZIOSA (8) who has come back well.

Suggested Bet: DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE (4) to win.

Race 3

I LIKE WHAT I SEE (3) was a nice winner on WA debut and Jocelyn Young outlined in her RacingWA parade ring interview on X that she was expecting her to improve nicely off the first up run, so therefore, she looks hard to beat after her first up win. SPORTING GRACE (2) could be the thorn in her side as she likes to lead but is more potent at the short trip. WATCH ME WAVE (1) has a lovely draw and should get a good run and could be dangerous late. MAJOR CLASS (8) and VINTAGE BLU (9) both racing well but the draws hurt their chances significantly. KARAOKE STAR (5) racing well but I’m against hm again but this time the distance worries me. SONIC CHIP (10) a novelty chance from the draw.

Tips: 3 1 8 10

Suggested Bet: WATCH ME WAVE (1) each way.

Race 4

Interesting early battle here. IM SPIDERMAN (5) looks very hard to beat if he was able to find the top and that does look a decent chance to happen in this, he has come back in top order and this race suits. MASTER LEIGHTON (4) may have something to say about that; he has been luckless. BELLA RAGAZZA (1) is racing well and nicely draw, will have the pick of the bunch. THE WAND WAVER (2) I don’t think can get around the pole marker and therefore makes things more difficult for her and DAT LOVELY (3) has no early speed. LORD PUBLISHER (11) will be running on well from the back of the field with SIDSTREPO (9) who is racing well. ROCKIN LE MONDE (10) is a novelty chance as he has the good draw.

Tips: 5 1 4 10

Suggested Bet: BELLA RAGAZZA (1) to place.

Race 5

LADY CAMEL (3) looks to have found the perfect race, looks to push forward and most likely find the top and from there I find it hard to see her beaten on recent efforts, happy to forgive her on Friday with a muddy track. SOHO VESPER LIND (1) raced well last time out, gets a nice draw to be close enough and can be dangerous. BRONZED (10) has a beautiful draw and if the gaps come, he will be running on well. FRANKIE J HOLDEN (12) can roll around to the breeze and expecting him to stick it out strongly. CORDERO (11) disappointed on Friday but can improve more for a novelty perspective with BETTOR ARCADE (6) and WINEGUM (5).

Tips: 3 1 12 10

Suggested Bet: LADY CAMEL (3) to win.

Race 6

OUR THUNDER (5) on the quick backup from Sunday and looks very well placed again, has been unsuccessful in his metro attempts but he is on a low mark and can now pick off some of these races, looks to be short but sweet. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (1) has the nice draw and should be leaders back and become a strong place chance. ROCKNROLL TRAIN (2) will be an improver and with no back line, this looks to suit. VELVET SHADOW (3) racing well but may be one spot too far back for his winning chances, looks a novelty chance. FIORD (4) will be running on, but race might not be run to suit him. Outside brigade will find this difficult.

Suggested Bet: ROCKNROLL TRAIN (3) to place.

Race 7

SONIC SEELSTER (5) made it into my sin bin last start, I thought he was very disappointing but here I am, giving him another chance, has the speed to lead and at the distance he can lead a long way, last start he was eyeballed, and the mental pressure broke him, another chance probably to my chagrin. SPINNER OF YARNS (4) can be used early and not quick beginners underneath, could run a better race here. FIREBALL FRIDAY (7) is racing consistently but may have to do some work here. MISS KNOWALL (8) very capable, keep safe but prefer her on the peg line. ZIGGY VERMEER (9) will be getting home well. RADIANT BAY (11) not at her best but was better last run, place chance. IDEALINCIDER (10) not the worst along with VYBRANT (3) but she isn’t a quick beginner which hurts her here.

Tips: 5 4 7 8

Suggested Bet: SONIC SEELSTER (5) to win.

Race 8

JUST A PONY (1) was solid in trials and the debut run and disappointed last time out, looks to improve with the draw and expecting a bold performance here. ELEGANT EAGLE (6) caught the eye last run and is getting closer to breaking through, this grade suits and looks to be dangerous in this. GRIN DESTINY (3) can run a better race here, had been reasonably luckless in a few recent runs and happy to wipe the slate clean. BETTOR BE BUCKS (2) is a novelty chance from the good draw. GALIFIANAKIS (8) can run into the top four but same story, needs to be on her best behaviour.

Tips: 1 6 2 3

Suggested Bet: JUST A PONY (1) to win.

Race 9

ART IDEAL (6) looks a nice type, and this is a good grade of race for him, also comes in with the barrier draw advantage over the main rival and looks very hard to beat. DUNKALLEDY (7) looks a nice type from NZ and is first up, creates a heap of interest but may have to do his fair share of work in this. MY SALINA (1) is a place chance from the draw if she can hold SHECANPLAY (4) early is to be seen, the latter is a strong place chance from a forward position. SHES ALL GO (5) can improve here in this grade but only for a novelty perspective and although BLITZAR (8) was naughty last time out, I think he can run on well here.

Suggested Bet: ART IDEAL (6) to win.
