Matt Young’s Sunday Collie Preview Posted on October 3, 2025October 3, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 STREETS OF STOCKTN (3) was said to be underdone first up with the RacingWA Harness interviews that you can find on X when discussing the race with trainer Giles Inwood, he outlined this race as a good race for her and based on what I saw first up, she should be winning this event. THE SLIPPERY DIP (4) has shown promise and looks a decent podium chance with CHUCKYS DELIGHT (6) and IKES GOT THE MIKE (7) who both have similar form lines as they enter this easier assignment. Tips: 3 4 7 6 Suggested Bet: STREETS OF STOCKTN (3) to win. Race 2 NO MESSING ABOUT (1) has the nice draw and looks hard to beat, didn’t have a great deal of excuses last start but gets the opportunity to lead around Collie which could be a big help. VICIOUSLY UNKIND (5) is a horse who I have a little bit of time for and think you could see a decent return. SEMINOLE JUNIOR (6) is ideally drawn on return and can feature into the money. ROCK ON BILLIE (8) has trialled up against some nice types and comes in fresh, keep safe. TAYLORS BOY FRED (7) is a novelty chance but is following out a tardy beginner and LUNAR MISS (3) is also a novelty chance. Tips: 5 1 6 8 Suggested Bet: VICIOUSLY UNKIND (5) each way. Race 3 MAJOR BLUE EYES (1) gets the perfect draw and not a slick front line to try and cross him, he should lead and give a bold sight. HUGHEY (6) has really improved recently and with the depth of the race if he gets a crack at them, I think he will go close. MISTER SAUVAGE (7) has been trialling up solid for this, keep safe with the stablemate CHALKY WHITE (8) who has ability but over raced badly in a recent trial, expect a better effort numerically here. CARIBBEAN TIMES (5) a place chance on return but draw hurts. Tips: 1 6 7 8 Suggested Bet: HUGHEY (6) each way. Race 4 HURRICANEHOPE (1) has got the form on the board and is a previous winner at this track last season and that was leading, looks hard to beat and can make it two in a row. LIQUIDATOR (6) is ideally drawn and if the gaps come, she will be getting home strongly but may never see daylight. HES THUNDER (3) can do some work and stick on; he is one paced. ISAIDBOO (8) will be sizzling home and he can cover a field strongly. Awkward draws for both JACK MANNIX (4) and SHES A LUCKY PENNY (5). Tips: 1 8 6 3 Suggested Bet: HURRICANEHOPE (1) to win. Race 5 Bit of speed in this early is going to suit the very much in form ALEXANDRA THEGREAT (8) she is versatile and looks suited here to go back-to-back. HONOUR THE EAGLE (5) would give a bold sight if she could cross to the top, form has been solid enough. RADIANT BAY (1) is coming in fresh but will be doing everything she can to hold SONIC SEELSTER (2) who is also coming in fresh, and the worst part of his races is the last 200m, the Collie straight could be a god send for him. IDEAL WHITBY (3) is capable and strips fitter. OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (6) is at the mercy of the pole marker as to the run he gets but he is capable. Tips: 8 5 6 1 Suggested Bet: ALEXANDRA THEGREAT (8) to win. Race 6 Start is key here. Loved the way FEELING ACES (5) hit the line in his return run and is normally a reliable beginner and stand performer, looks hard to beat in this. JILL MACH (7) will eat up the trip, and she was a Busselton specialist so don’t think the Collie track will worry the pint-sized operator. BOBBY WATERHOUSE (9) has improved in recent runs and can be driven more for his speed in this, shouldn’t be too far away. SMOKEYS SHADOW (4) is a knockout chance, but he needs to let them do what they want early and come with one run. IDEAL SECRET (3) a place chance if he can find the rail early and sit on one of the fancies. GEE SMITH (8) capable but may have traffic issues and WINEGUM (10) going well but 40m is difficult. Tips: 5 7 9 4 Suggested Bet: FEELING ACES (5) to win. Race 7 MORE THAN HONOURED (4) looks perfectly placed, comes in second up and has met a winnable race and looks very hard to hold out. PRINCE BENSON (8) trialled up well and will be running on from the back row draw. DEKLA DIVA (5) is suited in this grade and should perform well, even from the difficult draw. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (6) coming off a last start win will be running on but needs some luck and some of the other fancies may have the advantage early. Tips: 4 8 5 6 Suggested Bet: MORE THAN HONOURED (4) to win. Market Market
