Harry Buchanan’s Tuesday Greyhound Best Bets

CANNINGTON

Race 6 No. 3 Red Hot Annie and No. 7 Dozen Staples

A couple from the Crudeli camp to kick off a tough night. The 3 drops back from the 500 and if she brings her early speed to the corner start, she could sneak away and be very hard to run down. The kennel mate in 7 comes from the back here but she could secure a run through and be in a striking spot at odds. Playing for luck with her but she is strong and a place heavy option should be considered there.

Race 8 No. 5 Stella Forever and No. 2 Teenage Rampage

Another race where we have a couple of early splitters and the odd wayward one or two. The 5 has a super record track and trip and she will look straight for the fence after they outpace her. Starts her work up the back and sustains it strongly to the line. The 2 is over the odds here. Just ran smack into another dog when getting the right run last start and can surprise here on the run home off any trouble. Place heavy there.

Race 9 No. 3 Crackerjack Pack

While this fav will be hard to beat, a clean step of this bloke could make it interesting. With no real run on components in this race other than the 8 to a degree, it will be won up on the speed and with the red showing early burn, the 3 could go with him and the 2 and he likes racing middle track which could keep him pressing the issue up the back for a sweep around. Can hit the frame if he handles himself well early here.

Race 11 No. 2 Sugar Keeping and No. 5 Call Me Trinity

Yet another race that has a super battle out of the boxes. We have at least half the field who have a 6.55-60 on them and a few will be out of the comfort zone here. That why the 2 could just slide along the fence and be there to pounce and she is capable of going much quicker than what she has already delivered. Looks a threat. The 5 has opened an astronomical quote and she’s been good to us. It’s a little surprising considering she has a 22.1 and possibly better in her and that’s what could get it done here. She can run on well too and while she doesn’t win many, she’s going terrific in good races lately. Place heavy thoughts for her.

Race 12 No. 1 Frank The Tank

A wait tilt the last. Its hopefully worth it for the best tonight. Think he’s got his box here in this field. Placed his only two goes off the red and has an ultra consistent record track and trip. If he holds the 2 out early he will become very hard to catch from there. Looks hard to roll here.
