Harry Buchanan’s Tuesday Greyhound Best Bets

CANNINGTON

Race 6 No. 1 Pumping Gas and No. 7 Full On Frankie (maybe 9)

The 1 is boxed to go seriously close here. Has been overcoming sticky draws and gets his chance to settle close and be strong late. Big show. The 7 has had a little let up. Gets back a bit but goes fast mid race and sustains it home so something EW there place heavy. The red looks the one however. Keep an eye on the 9 if she gets a start off 1, 2 or 3. She would be a threat and will win the day she leads.

Race 7 No. 2 Spider Venom and No. 8 All Spiked Up

While he didn’t look his super impressive best, the 2 got it done in style last week and is drawn to go close again. If he crosses the red early that’s half the job done. Can go on from there. The 8 will again muster up down the outside and try find the arm again. The last bit tests him but he will get away one of these days and this could get messy inside. Worth a spec.

Race 8 No. 6 Pops Gift and No. 7 Big Girl Kiki

A couple at odds here for the blowout. The 6 could lead these if she steps. She’s a much better dog than her form shows and she only needs to settle up there to give a sight as she sticks on well. The 7 will work her way through as well and be hitting the line. She could sweep up here and be a force in the run home. EW for both dogs.

Race 9 No. 8 Voodoo Dolly and No. 4 Where’s The Kuna

The 8 had absolutely no luck last week when kept off the track by a very wide runner. Stuck to her guns however and he gets a better look here. Don’t ignore her. She’s not going that bad. The 4 all but found the top in the same race and she ran away from shorter priced dog in 6 here. Could step and lead this time and will be hard to catch if she does.

Race 10 No. 6 Blackwood Blue and No. 7 Zeak

The 6 stepped quickly last week but was squeezed up when trying for the front. Don’t mind him off the track a bit here and he could give a sight at odds in this. The 7 only has to lead to win and he gets a great cart over here. If that sees him find the arm then they won’t get him from there.

Race 12 No. 4 Finloch Shadows and No. 3 Marla Penny

The 4 was another who almost led last week but the red just punched under him to make the job much harder. He gets another chance to step and roll to the top here. That’s all it will take for him to score. The 3 is over the odds. She can step or come from back and yet to miss a place off the box. Look for her along the fence late.
