Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on May 13, 2024May 13, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 2 No. 1 No Payout and No. 4 Bracton A couple of track regulars who can figure in this moderate affair. The 1 has her box and she just rails home well most starts in this grade. She gets her chance. As does the 4 who is probably the best dog in the race and races her better form around here. If she steps and offsets the box she wins. Race 3 No. 5 Victim Of Desire Another one of Mays who is racing much better than it looks. Steps only steady but she dashes up quickly and only needs first turn luck and space to quickly put herself into the striking spot. Can hit the frame with any luck at all. Race 4 No. 2 Magic Entry and No. 1 Lady Sherwood Super effort from the 2 last week considering she didn’t lead. Weaved into a spot and came on well to place. Can lead here and that makes her very hard to stop. The 1 will go well. Ran a good race last week and looks the only danger to the 2 here. Can settle up and she’s strong. Race 5 No. 4 Candlelight Jazz and No. 6 Smirch Birch The 4 did enough here last week having no luck in the process. Goes best when he steps and leads and with the look last week he will improve enough to get his chance. The 6 goes well here and he can charge from anywhere. Wide box no worries and will be going through the gears quickly. Hard to hold out. Race 6 No. 2 Cindy’s Pride Races don’t come any easier than this for most of these. The 2 has been racing tougher opposition so will relish this company. Can run home stoutly when close and drawn to get every possible hope. Race 7 No. 2 Pepper Grinder Small field but only 3 legitimate chances here. The 2 is a promising stayer in the making. Will thrive over this trip and while she is first up here and the distance, she gives every indication she will just keep coming. She has to deal with the 1 and 5 as the only threats but will give the remaining 3 windburn unless they provide the road blocks. That’s how the 2 can run into it. Can hit top two. Race 8 No. 6 Redshift Uniform and No. 1 Escape Plan Don’t ignore the 6 here. While she would have been better off over the long trip, she will handle this fine and nothing will get home harder here in what could be a messy affair. The 1 will try and lead here and that’s when he will take some catching. Is going ok but much better when he gets his own way in front. Hard to roll if he steps. Race 10 No. 4 Toolong Tiger and No. 8 Super Charge In a race with several leaders, the 4 will get his chance to get the arm and get away here. Has been racing well and does some of his best work around here. Hard to run down if he leads solo. The 8 is one of only two dogs who can run on. Will pick his way through and finish well and could hit the frame at odds with first turn luck. Race 10 No. 2 Kingshott Another who only has to navigate potential road blocks from dogs who are not racing well and struggle around here. Drawn to land handy and will go one better than last week if he can find the top quickly. Looks the one. Race 12 No. 8 Ranger Rickson and No. 4 Simone Keeping The 8 will surprise here. Can muster up quickly out wide and if he crossed to lead, that would be it. Take on trust he will step. The 4 will go well also. Goes fast after box rise and while the draw is tricky, she can spear up and be near that lead when they hit the first turn. Will give a sight. Market Market
