Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on July 28, 2023July 28, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 6 Remembrance This easier than recent races and draw not bad here. Unlucky last start when driving forward into a striking spot only to be flattened first turn. Should get clearer running early here and can atone for last weeks luckless effort. Race 2 No. 6 Timmy Timebomb and No. 8 Bad Influence Plenty going on from 5 in here and that gives these two the passage forward out wide. 6 gets a lovely drag across with his early burn and could lead here and that would be it while the 8 is loving this trip and can actually handle the outside. Her muster is superb and she will look to threaten quickly with room here. Both solid shows here off an ideal map. Race 3 No. 1 Luke’s Raven and No. 3 My Maddy Another very messy map here with a few boxed exactly where they don’t want to be. The 1 can surprise here off the inside and will look to take advantage off a few dogs getting off into the back. Will prove hard to get past if he leads and can at least hit the frame. The 3 is the one they need to watch here. Gets a good early passage and she can step as well. No luck at all last time over the longer trip. She will give a huge sight if she comes out running here with the room she will get. Race 5 No. 7 Black Salmon and No. 3 Ice King The start decides the outcome of this race. Simple as that. The 7 rarely misses the kick and this lightly raced customer can rocket across here. Very hard to mow down on the arm but he does need that lure quickly. As does our old mate in 3. He’s racing as well as ever and he will spear out here as well and could find the top just as quickly. He’s not star but he’s hard to get past when he leads. Both dogs need the front or close to it but there is no real run on component in this race so leader probably wins. Race 6 No. 5 Launch Control and No. 6 Ultimate Command In stark contrast to the previous, we are coming from back here somewhat. 2,6,7,8 all go fast here. It will be a matter of where the 6 lands as he can come from off the arm as well. Keeps attacking the line and genuine top two play. The 5 descends from the back and he will be charging home off a freshen up. Any trouble or early gaps for him and it’s on. He is hard to hold out are and priced to play top two as well. Race 7 No. 8 West On Boonie and No. 3 Out Max The 8 has one job, that it stays wide and hold a forward spot through the first turn. If he is close to anything up the back, he just wins. He’s better than these and coming off a 600m win in is perfect. The 3 can stun here. He has a stack of talent and could find the fence early. Runs home very hard and will look ominous if he’s close as well up the back. Race 10 No. 5 No. 5 Notorious Harada, No. 8 Fearless One and No. 4 Let’s Riot Going to play this race a few ways. The 5 is lead or bust. Should she find the arm, and she usually does with her faultless box manners, she will go all the way. There is company though early. This is where we have a couple of place heavy saves on 8 and 4. More so the 8 who could sweep around here and hit the line well. As will the 4 but he has a tricky draw. He can run on hard over this trip however. A race where the exotics could come in handy. Race 11 No. 4 Stanga Storm Continues to race well and this slightly easier than his last few assignments. He doesn’t win many but keeps hitting the frame and can offset tricky boxes. Can slot over behind the early speed from 1,5,8 and he will get into his work from there once they go into the back. Look for him late again. Race 12 No. 4 Space Station and No. 8 Luke’s Coal Strange market this. Speed in 1 and 2 but they have to contend with the fence finding 3 dog early. The 7s last couple have been below his best and not sure he’s going at his top. He also doesn’t like being off the arm and he didn’t show the same dash last week after he took a few short steps the start prior. The 4 can sit off them and still come on and he runs time when he gets clear room. He could get that here as can the 8 who is unbeaten off the box and will rush down the outside early here. Can go sub-16 and is priced to play with a few under the odds here. Both really good top two hopes. Market Market
