Warren Huntly’s Saturday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on July 28, 2023July 28, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 PRINZERRO has been jumping out well to resume and the form around Scheelite looks strong. HEDGED resumes gelded and has also been jumping out well. ROUSSILON resumed with a strong win over 1100m, he drops back to 1000m but has a low draw and B.Shinn to help overcome any potential disadvantage. EPIC PROPORTIONS will give a sight on speed. Selections: 5,9,1,2 Suggested Bet: Prinzerro each way Race 2 SPICY MARGS is likely to push forward from the draw and should prove hard to catch again. PICKY is a maiden but has good form around her and has been jumping out in good style to resume with blinkers off. SHEVA has shown up at the jumpouts and looks capable of making her presence felt on debut. ZOUSKO has trialled well to resume for his second preparation. Selections: 3,4,14,5 Suggested Bet: Spicy Margs to win Race 3 ANOTHER WIL looks promising and capable of winning again here on his way to better races. TOKENIST gets down in the weights and looks suited coming back in trip. HE’LL RIP had no luck at a crucial stage last start and gives the impression 1600m will be ok. SACRED BULL won his maiden in dominant fashion last start and should strip fitter. Selections: 7,5,6,10 Suggested Bet: Another Wil to win Race 4 Competitive race. SO SLEEK is racing well, his form ties in with a few of these and he maps for a good run near the speed. TORRANZINO still appears somewhat of a raw talent but he’s winning while he’s learning and the form around him has held up well. THE DEVIL IN HER has upside and should appreciate stepping up in distance. SLANE kicked again when headed last start and should also cope with a step up in trip. MAGNASPIN and GOTTABESAVVY are in the mix. Selections: 4,2,9,7 Suggested Bet: So Sleek each way Race 5 MILFORD has been racing in good form without winning, he should get his chance again with blinkers and B.Shinn back on a from a soft draw. FLASH FEELING hasn’t had much luck of late and his for ties in well with a few of these. FLASH FLOOD is on trial at this trip but was strong through the line at 1700m last time. KEATS looks the leader and may prove hard to get past. Selections: 1,7,5,3 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 1 & 7 Race 6 Even staying contest. WUDDZZ will be strong late in a race where there should be a solid tempo. CLAIDHEAMH MOHR is racing in great form and will be part of the speed. FERAGO will appreciate any give in the ground and backs up after not having the best of luck last week. JAYKAYANN was below her best last time, she’s trialled ok between runs and gets blinkers on. STRWBERRY ROCK and THORIN have claims. Selections: 12,3,4,11 Suggested Bet: Wuddzz each way Race 7 Another even race. JIMMY THE BEAR raced too close to the speed with blinkers on last start and no surprise to see them come off. Expect a quieter ride from the wide draw. ROYAL MILE closed off well at his first run for the new stable and will appreciate the step up in distance. CHIEL ALTONY is fit and consistent, any give in the ground would be a positive. URBAN OASIS and FRENCH EMPEROR are worth considering should they gain starts. Selections: 5,11,10,13 Suggested Bet: Jimmy The Bear each way Race 8 Another deep quaddie leg. LIEVORE covered ground and stuck on well under the circumstances at he latest run. DEFIANT DIVA can’t be improving at this stage of the campaign but hit the line strongly when she finally got clear last time. BELLINI MISS will be strong late and improved nicely second up. DELICIOUS TYCOON can roll forward, as she did last time and give a sight. ELECTIC BELLE will be charging late. Selections: 12,7,14,9 Suggested Bet: Lievore each way Race 9 Tough finish. STRIPPED BACK got keen in the run last start and may settle better with that run under the belt. PEREILLE seemed to have his chance last time but will strip fitter third up and should appreciate 1200m. KALIUWAA FALLS is racing well and coming back slightly in trip should be ok. SHALAMAN is likely to push forward, he races well and here and will strip fitter for his first run for the new stable. MAGNUM BULLET is a winner here and loos suited coming back to 1200m. Selections: 5,14,7,8 Suggested Bet: Stripped Back each way Market Market
