Euro 2016 – France v Iceland Posted on July 1, 2016July 12, 2016 | Posted by Sportsbettingmax.com Stade de France, Paris – Monday 4th July, 3AM AWST Recent Form France 2 v Republic Of Ireland 1 England 1 v Iceland 2 Head to head France 8 – Iceland 0 – Drawn 3 Recent match 2012 International Friendly– France 3 v Iceland 2 Match Overview Didier Deschamps, the French Manager, will make two changes to his team after Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante and Sevilla centre-back Adil Rami were both suspended in their previous match against Ireland. Iceland Coach Heimer Hallgrimson has no such injury or disciplinary concerns going into the biggest match of his countries football history. France have scored six goals and conceded two so far in this tournament. Whilst they have never appeared to be playing right at their best the wealth of goal scoring talent has been able to get France out of trouble, their past match is a prime example of this. Ireland had led from the 3rd minute and France were looking unorganized and in trouble but after half time the brilliant Antoine Griezmann hit two great goals in the space of four minutes which put France in control. Iceland have also score six goals so far but have conceded four. Whilst their game is built around defense, counter punching and hard running, they can score from minimal opportunities and are a real dangerous side. Griezmann is equal leading goal scorer with three goals and is supported by the brilliant Dimitri Payet (2) and Olivier Giroud 1. Griezmann could well take over the central attacking position from Giroud as Deschamps plans for France to get on the board early to quieten the army of Icelandic fans. The accuracy and speed of the Iceland team will keep them in this match for a long time. Sigthorsson is a star, Bodvarsson, Sigurdsson and Truastason are all capable strikers. The loss of both Kante and Rami will hurt the French team as they have been kept possession well and have been setting up the prized forwards all tournament. This shapes as another tricky game to call. Maybe France in extra time but absolutely no confidence in the result. Player Watch Dimitri Payet has been the man all tournament and his explosiveness around the ball will be a vital asset if France are to win this match. Expect him to score in this match. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson was my winning pick against England and his work on and off the ball was very impressive. He can score again here against France. Match Result Draw 2-2 after 90 minutes Bet Suggestions Option 1 – Both teams to score $2.50* Option 2 – Game Total +2.5 $2.10* Option 3- Anytime goal scorers Sigthorsson $4.75* and Payet $2.80* Bet Now!
