RACE 1

Liked the look of CELESTIAL LEGEND on debut at Canterbury recently running on strongly to beat all bar the winner Kandinsky Abstract who of course is a full relation to Sunlight. The tempo that day didn’t suit yet he was able to make good ground after being restrained from a wide gate. With the race experience under his belt & a better draw today he can go one better. NAMESAKE is consistent, will put in another honest effort. JOEY D’OR has trialled well.

RACE 2

MAYROSE drops back in distance for this which is going to suit. A Randwick 1400m winner two back she just couldn’t quite go with the first couple late up to 1500m last time out. With a little luck early from the draw she can run well. Big watch on the Ex UK-galloper KYEEMA who sat wide & stuck on well first start in the country, note it was on a very heavy track though. EYE SEE THINGS continues to race consistently, should appreciate the additional 200m.

RACE 3

Very open looking Highway where PREEMPTORY gets the nod. A winner at this level two back he’s always around the mark & with the claim will carry no more weight than last start when a solid second here. DOLLAR MAGIC put the writing on the wall two back flashing home at Hawkesbury, she then bolted in at Dubbo with 3kg more than she’ll carry here. CHASE MY CROWN a chance, may just need further though.

RACE 4

Looking for some market support for the resuming BATTLETON here. Has been a little hard to follow in recent times however generally finds himself in stronger races. He races well fresh & has trialled up nicely enough for a forward showing. SHALAILED wasn’t far away 4 of his past 5 runs & they were all in good company, another market watch first up from a break. WEWILLROCK has solid New Zealand form, bit of an unknown here, dare I say yet another market watch.

RACE 5

Surely if STARIANNE has made the trip back from Adelaide without any effects she’ll be too good for the opposition here. Yes, she faces the older horses (male & female) however there’s a lot of suspect & inferior country/provincial form in the race. TRADITION will have plenty of admirers, does go 1550m to 2000m with a little over 2 weeks between runs. THORNYCROFT looks suited dropping back in distance slightly & looks over the odds.

RACE 6

Chris Waller trained galloper REDIENER seems to have really hit his straps this prep. Closed strongly to win on the Kensington track two back before giving away too much start latest at Gosford yet still making up plenty of ground in a race which was dominated by those on speed. LEKVARTE has plenty of weight however comes out of stronger races, not out of it. MONEY FROM THE SKY hit the line well to score here latest, racing very well.

RACE 7

AL AABIR has been a complete model of consistency all prep winning twice & placing second twice at only four starts. I thought he’d struggle at a strong 2400m last time out however that wasn’t the case at the Sunshine Coast when going down by an eyelash. With the claim he’s right in this. UNION GAP is flying this prep going two from two, has plenty of upside & breeding suggests will run the trip out.

RACE 8

Keen on SUBSTANTIAL here who is busting to win. Liked the way he found the line late at Eagle Farm last start behind the promising Antino who was heading towards the Stradbroke however isn’t likely to gain a run in the Group 1 feature. Prior form solid & this looks his ideal trip. Thought KISS THE BRIDE was well overs dropping back plenty in grade.

RACE 9

Going wide with the tips here putting LORD ARDMORE on top who should be right at his peak at this stage of his preparation. Not far away his past couple he likes this track & even though drawn out that will give him a chance to get to clear unimpeded running. PINK IVORY ran some nice races over the carnival before giving away too much start at Wagga. NAVAJO PEAK will be well supported, should get the right run off the inside alley & no knock from me.

RACE 10

Thought BITCOIN BABY was over the odds in this. Not raced for 2 months she still holds residual fitness & drops back 200m, super consistent the market will tell us if she’s forward enough. WINNING VERSE tough to beat second up, very consistent & not bad first up on a solid tempo. LADY OF LUXURY another who looks over the odds, has the best form in the race & is yet to miss a placing fresh which includes a win, wide barrier may explain the price?
