STRIKE TEAM (6) will need luck from this barrier but he did win in 1.54.1 just before going for a spell and shouldn’t be overlooked. CHEER THE MAJOR (1) led throughout here two starts back and should lead and give some cheek again. ARMED REACTOR (2) is an inconsistent type but does have ability and he can make his presence felt first-up. Tips: 5 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: GOODFELLAZ (5) to win. Race 2 SWINGBAND (7) ran a nice 3rd from the breeze at his first run back from a spell and appeals as the one to beat after drawing inside his main rival. PRINCE OF PLEASURE (8) raced his way through the classes last time in and looks the obvious danger first-up. RUN FOR MERCY (1) has been battling bad draws of late but looks a good place chance from the pole. ONESMARTFELLA (4) was rewarded for his consistent form with a win against easier opposition here last week and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 7 8 1 4 Suggested Bet: SWINGBAND (7) to win. Race 3 WATTS UP SUNSHINE (2) has been unplaced when well-fancied at hisl last two starts but his latest effort had plenty of merit when a close-up 4th in 1.54.4. He has a better barrier tonight and should give a great sight. HILLVIEW BONDI (9) didn’t get things all his own way when a 1.53.4 winner last week and he could represent each way value from out here. RASCAL (1) was held up here last week after an all-the-way win from this draw and can play a part. ALCOPONY (7) was beaten as a $1.35 favourite here last week but can figure. Tips: 2 9 1 7 Suggested Bet: WATTS UP SUNSHINE (2) to win. Race 4 JETT STAR (4) followed a narrow all-the-way victory with an impressive win from the breeze here last week and will give a great sight again. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (1) worked to the front when defeating Mea Culpa at his last start and the rise in class is offset by his perfect draw. FINVARRA (7) started at $5.50 when unplaced in the Golden Nugget at his last start and must be respected first-up. GALACTIC STAR (2) was placed here at big odds last week and can be in the money again from his nice draw. Tips: 4 1 7 2 Suggested Bet: JETT STAR (4) to win. Race 5 OUR LADY JEN (1) has battled awkward draws at her two runs back from a spell but has performed credibly including a last start 3rd to FLAMETREE (8) and should give a great sight from the pole. SWEET VIVIENNE (2) has fought out the finish at her last three starts and will appreciate this barrier tonight. LADY VIOLETTA (10) faced the breeze when 2nd in her heat and will enjoy a nice run on the pegs. GLIDING STAR (12) has won three out of her last four starts and must be considered again despite the backline draw. Tips: 1 2 10 12 Suggested Bet: LADY VIOLETTA (10) each way. Race 6 WONDERFUL TO FLY (3) is the state’s beat mare and should have little trouble in winning this event from her nice barrier. MISS BOUDICA (1) is likely to trail the favourite and looks a great quinella chance. EIGHTEEN CARAT (5) did defeat WONDERFUL TO FLY (3) three starts back but will find it harder drawn to the outside of her main rival. MY PRAYER (2) is likely to settle three back on the pegs and won’t be far away. Tips: 3 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: WONDERFUL TO FLY (3) to win. Race 7 TAKING THE MIKI (7) has returned from a spell in blistering fashion, winning five of her six starts including two from the stand. She defeated Wonderful To Fly at her last start and is the one to beat here. OTIS (8) returns from an 18-month injury enforced layoff but trialled nicely for his return and has plenty of ability. THE CODE BREAKER (11) has been placed at his past four starts and will be a big winning chance if he can settle in front of his main rivals. MIDDLEPAGE (12) was ultra-impressive at his last start but will settle at the rear. Tips: 7 8 11 12 Suggested Bet: OTIS (8) each way. Race 8 HAMPTON BANNER (4) prefers it over shorter trips but this could be a slowly run affair if he crosses at the start and he did beat all bar Shockwave here last week. ARMA EINSTEIN (5) has won three of his last six starts and will be charging home tonight. BLITZEMBYE (2) has the speed to lead if desired and will give them something to catch if near his best. BABYFACE ADDA (1) is first-up but shouldn’t be far away from the pole. Tips: 4 5 2 1 Suggested Bet: HAMPTON BANNER (4) to win. Race 9 KIMBLE (7) has been unplaced in his past six starts but drops in class for this assignment and he is capable of overcoming the wide draw. TUAS DELIGHT (1) will give a great sight over the sprint trip if he can hold up at the start. CARRERA MACH (2) was placed in a stronger field here last week and must be considered from his nice draw. SHOOT THROUGH (10) is a last-start winner and he will enjoy a soft run on the pegs. Tips: 7 1 2 10 Suggested Bet: KIMBLE (7) to win. Race 10 WHOS THE DAD (5) crossed from a wide draw when a narrow 2nd in a sizzling 1.53.4 here last week and will give a great sight if he can find the front again. IDEAL TOMADO (6) has started favourite but finished just behind the placegetters at his last two starts but should fight out the finish here. CARABAO (2) has finished 4th at his past three starts but has the draw to be back in the money tonight. VINTAGE BLU (1) is a bit one-paced but won’t be far away from the pole. Tips: 5 6 2 1 Suggested Bet: WHOS THE DAD (5) to win. Market Market
