RACE 1 No.8 Atlantic King

Throw at the stumps with this lightly raced galloper from the Matt Dunn yard who had accepted for two races here as well as one at Eagle Farm where he looked a big chance. Yet to put in a subpar run at his 3 starts I liked the way he found the line at his latest off a slow tempo, the rise to 1400m suits and yes, although this is much tougher he shouldn’t be the price he currently is.

RACE 3 No.6 Thy Kingdom Come

Consistent without winning is the perfect description for this gelding who has placed 2 of his past 4 starts with valid excuses the other couple of occasions. Nash Rawiller jumps back on which suits as the horse rises 100m in trip and likes to park on the pace, Nash will get more out of him over the concluding stages than any other jock. Might just be his turn tomorrow.

RACE 8 No.2 Trekking

Stradbroke winner who is absolutely flying this prep having won at Caulfield second up after a solid finishing fresh effort in the Moir prior. Capping those runs was his fast closing third in the rich Everest at Rosehill a fortnight back. The step to 1300m looks ideal and it’s hard to see him being beaten!
