RACE 1 No.6 Bessmati

Little surprised at the double figures around for this Annabel Neasham trained youngster tomorrow. There is no standout in the race and although her first run was only in an average race at Doomben she really should have won. Slow to jump, interfered with soon after she sat last on the turn before running on strongly to beat all bar the winner. Dually accepted here and again in Brisbane tomorrow connections have elected to go with this race. Happy to have something each-way.

RACE 6 No.14 Paris Dior

The 2 million dollar Inglis Millenium is one of our features tomorrow with a terrific line up of 2yo’s to battle it out for the big money. Like the look of this filly from the Snowden yard who arguably could be going into the race unbeaten. Zero luck in the straight on debut when clear too late before sitting outside the lead and charging away down the straight to score at Canterbury. Yes this is harder however she looks well up to the task.

RACE 8 No.2 Converge

Plenty points to the favourite Paulele in this Group 3 for the 3yo’s however I just can’t get past what I saw from Converge in his recent barrier trial win. Settling off the pace he went back to the inside before weaving his way into the clear to take over then charge away scoring by 3 lengths. The impressive part was it seemed all under his own steam with jockey Tim Clark just doing the steering. Yes, he’s going to be suited out over further this prep but he couldn’t have been any more impressive.
