Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on December 10, 2021December 10, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 1 No.22 Miss Ostend Few more scratchings and she’s in! Lightly raced Zoustar filly who does appear very well placed here in Highway company. Fourth in a Black Opal, bolted in first up at Moruya then far from disgraced in a couple of Listed races behind the likes of Paulele and Home Affairs! Very good formlines for a race such as this and if the rain comes she’s ticked the soft track box as well. RACE 3 No.3 Dickin Medal Bit of a throw at the stumps here with this one who is having his first outing for a new yard having formerly raced under the Godolphin banner. He’s had the two fresh runs in the past for a win (on debut) and unplaced effort however did pull up lame from that outing so more than happy to forgive. Numbers are good and he did win a recent trial suggesting he should be ready to go fresh. Definite market watch. RACE 10 No.5 Brookspire Liked the first up run handed in by this one sitting three deep yet ended up beating all bar the winner with a good margin back to the rest. The additional 100m tomorrow should work in her favour as two of her three wins have come over the 1400m trip. She’s won on good, soft and heavy ground, whatever the conditions she’ll take plenty of beating. Quaddie 10, 7, 2, 1 1, 15, 6 3, 8, 9 5 Market Market
