Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on May 1, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson Race 3 No. 3 Jailbreak Dubbo trained galloper who drew wide, raced further back in the field than he usually does before clocking the slickest final 200m split in a similar Highway grade race here a fortnight back. Faced with a much kinder barrier draw tomorrow expect to see him closer in the run which could well spell trouble for his rivals late. Race 7 No.8 Hightail Team Snowden trained 3yo who hasn’t raced since clocking in 4th behind Alligator Blood in the Magic Millions 3yo at the Gold Coast in January. He was certainly in fine form prior to that with a win in the Listed Gosford Guineas. With the benefit of a recent barrier trial coupled with a solid fresh record he should prove tough to beat with top jock Hugh Bowman to do the steering. Race 9 No.13 California Salto Another from the Snowden yard who appeals here off her recent form. Did a bit wrong first up yet still wound up being beaten just over a length into second spot before not far from the very smart Rubisaki in Group 3 grade at Randwick over the carnival. Good gate, good jock, looks a good bet! Quaddie 1, 5, 7, 8 8, 9 3, 12 6, 9, 10, 13 Market Market
