Chris Nelson’s Gold Coast Best Bets Posted on November 24, 2022November 24, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.11 Vaccine Resuming mare from the leading Tony Gollan stable who won 3 of her 5 outings last campaign which was her first for the yard. Nothing but consistent all the way through her only blemish was when caught wide after a slow start at Doomben still managing to clock in fourth. She trialled nicely on Tuesday morning at Doomben and looks set for a successful return to the track on Saturday. RACE 7 No.3 Me Me Lagarde Locally trained mare who does look over the odds here. Hard to forget her fast finishing second on this track Magic Millions Day in January beating all bar the winner King Of Sparta in the 3yo Guineas. Unplaced all three starts since however note two have been on heavy ground which she doesn’t handle, the other (latest) she was held up badly at Eagle Farm beaten just over 2 lengths! RACE 8 No.2 Holyfield Landed the box seat when winning the Keith Noud a fortnight back and maps to gain the same trip once again tagging the only leader in the race Emerald Kingdom. He’s generally a better horse with a run under his belt and considering he broke the track record first up and he’s very likely to improve on that performance that has to be a scary thought for his rivals!
