Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Preview Posted on November 18, 2016November 18, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 – No.11 Starcourt Lightly raced gelding who has only had two starts overall however only the one for Team Guy when a strong on paced 2nd at Doomben behind the smart Savanna Armour fighting hard all the way down the straight. That was off the back of a very impressive barrier trial win at the Gold Coast in very slick time. Drawn well, gets the right run and should go very close to breaking through. RACE 6 – No.2 Drumbeat’s Choice Sunshine Coast trained galloper who has put in two terrific runs this prep kicking off with a home track victory first up weaving his way home from well back in the field. He then went to Doomben and again ran on very strongly in a race not at all suited to those runners back in the ruck. Will again give a start tomorrow however with the long run home here look for him to be charging to the line late. Great value RACE 9 – No.10 Lord Coconuts Beaten 5 lengths at Doomben a fortnight back however there’s no doubt at all he should have finished a lot closer. Unfortunately for his supporters he and jockey Robbie Fradd searched left, right and centre for clear running which eventually came far too late. Previous form this prep had been strong with a couple of wins and a placing from three starts. Stick with him tomorrow.
