Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Preview Posted on October 14, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 4 – No.6 Dream Finnish Lightly raced Toowoomba trained mare who looked most unlucky at Doomben two weeks ago when a late closing 3rd behind Jopa in a fast run Open Handicap. Unable to secure clear running until inside the final 200m she charged home in similar slick sectionals to the 4th placed Sea Red who scored at Doomben last Saturday. Only other run this campaign was a strong winner after being caught wide throughout. Well supported in early markets and should go very close. RACE 5 – No.6 Hearts Honour Rob Heathcote trained galloper who looks very well placed tomorrow off a terrific effort at Doomben a fortnight back. Having to work early to cross and lead he set a solid tempo all the way to the turn before kicking clear into the straight, looked all over a winner before being run down late. Back to 1400m tomorrow suits perfectly together with a drop in weight. Great value. RACE 6 – No.2 Saluter Seasoned sprinter who could land a cheap lead tomorrow with only a couple of his rivals looking any chance of pushing on and applying any pressure. Liked his run at Doomben last start behind Londehero who he meets better at the weights tomorrow when kicking on very strongly late to finish close up. The likelihood of a Good track only enhances his chances and he could well lead his rivals a merry dance down the straight.
