Chris Nelson’s Doomben Preview Posted on November 11, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 – No.2 Another Whiskey Terrific first up run at Eagle Farm 4 weeks ago closing strongly in a race run to suit those up racing near the lead. Really hit his straps last preparation winning or placing at all 5 starts, at his best when kept fresh tomorrow’s race sets up nicely as he’ll gain a cosy smother off an inside draw. Always strong at the business end he’ll be hard to hold out. RACE 5 No.3 Dream Finnish Toowoomba trained mare from the Michael Nolan stable who had her first start for 3 weeks last Saturday rising 200m in distance. Thought her effort was terrific sitting back second last before improving to the turn and closing off strongly all the way down the straight into a close up third placing. Fitter tomorrow and top jockey Jeff Lloyd jumps aboard. She looks ready to win again RACE 6 No.3 In His Stride Finds himself in a Class 3 grade race tomorrow having finished in the placings both outings this time in against much stronger Class 6 and Benchmark 75 opposition. Both races were run in fast time with the latest, a strong finishing effort over 1200m suggesting the 1350m trip is now ideal. With Rebecca Williams claim he’s weighted well and should be too good for the opposition tomorrow.
