Matt Young’s Friday Bunbury Preview Posted on October 17, 2025October 17, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open race, TRITTRITTBANGBANG (4) has the speed to burn across and lead and the distance suits, but his form is not flash and needs to lift on recent efforts, grade suits but wouldn’t want to be diving in too short. JACK MANNIX (8) is a capable type but needs some luck from the draw. HEAVENLY BLISS (5) is a quick beginner and can race close to the speed, but her form is also a bit up in the air in recent runs. GO HOME JO (9) will be running on but needs the tempo to suit her. SANFORD BART (10) is a chance, his form is sound and the grade suits, keep him in your thoughts. Tips: 8 4 5 9 Suggested Bet: JACK MANNIX (8) each way. Race 2 HOT ROCKEFELLER (6) was solid in his return run and should bounce of that nicely, has good early speed and is a major chance to lead and if he did that, I believe he can win again. SOMETHING CERTAIN (8) looks the testing material but has a tricky draw where he will have to make a few moves. SUGAR BOO (9) was disappointing last start but willing to give her another chance, shouldn’t be too far away. FUEGO CRUZADO (5) is a top 4 player with I AM SIAM (1) and BLIND EDITION (3). Tips: 6 8 9 5 Suggested Bet: HOT ROCKEFELLER (6) to win. Race 3 SKIPPIN CLASS (6) is racing well and has good early speed, think there is a good to fair chance of him burning across and leading and from there he has options and should go close. MORE SASS (9) is a horse with plenty of ability but has yet to fire since returning, this grade suits and she shouldn’t be too far away. HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (4) returns and is debuting for the new stable, he has shown some promise and should be kept safe. BARBADOS (1) is an improver off the good draw, should be close to the speed. SUNDANCER RAINBOW (8) and ALTA KING (11) will be running on. Tips: 6 9 4 1 Suggested Bet: SKIPPIN CLASS (6) each way. Race 4 SIR WILLOUGHBY (10) is a nice type who drops significantly in grade here, he can watch things unfold and be driven like the best horse and I think he will get the job done tonight. CAPTAIN PAPRIKA (6) has good early speed and could potentially lead although his recent form has lifted when driven in a softer manner. VILLAGE DEE JAY (12) is a much better horse on speed so the draw is troubling, but his form is strong enough to see him in the money. ULTIMATE EVENT (8) needs luck from the draw and is coming in fresh but has shown talent. Novelty chances to VICIOUSLY UNKIND (1) from the better draw and NO MESSING ABOUT (9). Tips: 10 6 12 8 Suggested Bet: SIR WILLOUGHBY (10) to win. Race 5 Open race. RIPPER VIEW (2) was sound last time and prior to that was performing well against stronger opposition, she has some early speed and could find the top tonight and if she is on speed she should finish in the money. MISS STEFANI (8) strikes a suitable grade; she is not at her best but can-do work in her races and will be threatening. CALL TO ARMS (4) did too much early last week and weakened but this grade suits and he should run well. SOUNDS LIKE FUN (1) is a capable type but comes in fresh being over a month between runs. EASTON QUALITY (3) is racing soundly and shouldn’t be too far from the money, and OUR MAJOR JACK (6) is capable but mixes his form. Tips: 2 8 4 1 Suggested Bet: RIPPER VIEW (2) to win. Race 6 LIGHTFOOT LEIGH (7) was a forgive last time out, he just got too far out of his ground, hit the line strongly against metro grade two starts ago and that stacks up nicely here, should go close. SWEET SASSYMOLASSY (2) has the nice draw, consistent form and early speed to bounce on the lead and be cheeky. ZUEDE (1) has come back well, his gate speed has improved but will get the world perfect run, so he has options. CODENAME ELLIOT (6) is first up for the new stable and has good closing speed, should be kept safe. I SEE FIRE (8) is racing well and looks a novelty chance from the draw and SANFORD HARRY (4) can improve. Tips: 7 2 1 4 Suggested Bet: LIGHTFOOT LEIGH (7) to win. Market Market
