Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 9, 2025October 9, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 LINCOLN LOU (2) chased home Cyclone Jordy before finishing at the tail in a race dominated up front here last week. He gets the chance to lead and control proceedings tonight and he should prove hard to beat. CHASE ME (5) has been driven conservatively at his first two runs back from a spell but is likely to be driven more assertively tonight and he looks the main danger. BOY BLUE (6) and RUMBLE STRIP (8) both have plenty of ability and have won their last two starts but have drawn outside their main rivals. Tips: 2 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: LINCOLN LOU (2) to win. Race 2 ROCKANDROLLARTIST (6) was forced to run a 36.3 lead time to find the front last week and only knocked up late. He has hood added tonight and if he can cross without doing too much work he will give a great sight. INSTA GATOR (9) started from this draw when a gallant 3rd in that event and should fight out the finish again. SAIFA (7) hasn’t had much luck lately but can win if get the right cart into the race. QUINTON (4) ran a great 2nd to Alta Tribute in 1.55.6 at his last start and must be considered on that effort. Tips: 6 9 7 4 Suggested Bet: ROCKANDROLLARTIST (6) to win. Race 3 STORMYSKYES (1) had been racing without luck before working his way to the front and recording a strong Pinjarra victory. He gets the barrier advantage over his main rival and will be hard to beat if he can hold up at the start. SWEET COCO (4) was a dominant 1.55.6 winner here last week and is a deserved favourite and obvious danger. SUGAR DELIGHT (10) will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and looks a good each way chance. DAME VALOUR (9) is racing well but will need a solid tempo to bring her into winning calculations. Tips: 1 4 10 9 Suggested Bet: STORMYSKYES (1) to win. Race 4 GEE HEZA SPORT (2) was a strong 2nd from the breeze behind Magnificent Storm at his last start and he will give a great sight if he can hold out the runners to his outside and then work to the lead. MINSTREL (4) is the stable’s top seed and can win from the breeze but will be even better suited if BRICKIES DREAM (3) can cross as he is likely to take the trail after that. MISTER SMARTEE (11) was far from disgraced when narrowly beaten in 1.52.6 at his last start and should push through from his trailing draw into a prominent position. NEVER ENDING (8) looks set for a good campaign but is more likely to keep his powder dry after losing out at the barrier draw. Tips: 2 4 11 8 Suggested Bet: GEE HEZA SPORT (2) to win. Race 5 COPY CAT QUEEN (1) is known as a sit-sprint mare but I think they will press for an all-the-way victory. We won’t know until after the event if she can handle a burn at both ends but I think she can. JUSTCALLMEMIKI (10) defeated a similar field at his last start and can still win this despite the back line draw. GOLDEN LODE (4) is a good each eway chance as he looks to map quite well. ALTA TRIBUTE (5) and FRANCO MOTU (7) have awkward draws to overcome but both are capable. Tips: 1 10 4 5 Suggested Bet: COPY CAT QUEEN (1) to win. Race 6 THE IRON DUKE (6) worked to the breeze and was a comfortable winner at his first run in WA. This doesn’t look much harder and he is clearly the one to beat. OFF THE CHARTS (10) ran on well to finish 3rd to Sweet Coco hare last week and will be charging home again if he sees daylight from his awkward draw. MAJOR JAY (11) was held up at a crucial stage when 6th in that event and looks an improver from his nice trailing draw. POCKET THE CHANGE (2) led then sat on Sweet Coco when 2nd in that race and would like a similar scenario here. Tips: 6 10 11 2 Suggested Bet: THE IRON DUKE (6) to win. Race 7 TUALOU (6) performed well below expectations last time in and was sent for a spell after three unplaced efforts. He resumes here without a trial but is the class runner of the field so monitor the market and pre-race interviews. HEEZ A VIBE (1) has led throughout to win four of his last five starts and he will give them something to catch but he rises in class and the distance is also a concern. SWEET VIVIENNE (4) is flying and looks the other winning chance but is another who would prefer a shorter trip. PRINCESS KATIE (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 6 1 4 2 Suggested Bet: TUALOU (6) to win. Race 8 STAR LILLY (1) has finished 2nd at her past three starts and this looks a very winnable assignment if she can hold up at the start. GOODTIME LOUIS (5) was a dominant 16m winner against a weaker field at his last start and will become the one to beat if he can use his good gate speed to cross at the start. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (6) has won two of his last three starts and will be suited if there is an early speed burn between the major players. SIDSTREPO (10) is drawn to enjoy a nice run on the pegs and can be in the money if things go his way and he is on his best behaviour. Tips: 1 5 6 10 Suggested Bet: STAR LILLY (1) to win. Race 9 FRANCO SHERIFF (1) is lightly raced and is still learning but if he puts it all together, he should win this event. He broke at his last start but has trialled nicely since and is clearly the one to beat from the pole. MACHS BETTOR (7) has a losing sequence of 16 but is capable and shouldn’t be overlooked. INFINITE SIGN (6) hasn’t seen clear running in his two starts this time in and can figure. DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (2) is drawn to get a lovely run if the favourite does everything right. Tips: 1 7 8 2 Suggested Bet: FRANCO SHERIFF (1) to win. Race 10 THE WAND WAVER (6) has started at $51 at both starts this time in and has been unlucky on both occasions. He drops considerably in class tonight and looks a major player. ITSOKTOBEGREY (5) is the form runner in the event and should fight out the finish. BURGHLEY SHARD (10) finished 4th to Sweet Coco in good time here last week which is very good form for a race of this nature but he has an awkward draw to overcome. BEACH CAPTAIN (11) is first-up for a new stable so monitor the betting. Tips: 6 5 10 11 Suggested Bet: THE WAND WAVER (6) to win. Market Market
