Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Bendigo Preview Posted on November 12, 2024November 12, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 MRS IGLESIA didn’t have the best of luck on debut in the Debutant Stakes and should be strong late. Her stablemate, THE OPPORTUNIST, comes through the same race and also had some excuses on debut. HELLO ROMEO should take a forward position from a low draw and give a sight after an encouraging debut here. KAGEMUSHA has been jumping out well. Selections: 6,5,2,3 Suggested Bet: Happy to look and learn Race 2 ILLYIVY has had one recent quiet jumpout after showing good ability in her earlier jumpouts. SHADHAVAR had looked good at the jumpouts before beginning slowly and racing keenly on debut and looks a likely improver. RELUCTANTLYCHARMED has jumped out in good style to kick off her second prep. EAGLE EXPRESS was luckless when trapped on the rail first up and is drawn to get more room. Selections: 2,7,6,1 Suggested Bet: Another to look and learn Race 3 DANCING DOLLY clearly the one to beat. She over raced and was caught wide as a short-priced favourite first up. Her effort to finish second was full of merit but you’d like her to settle better to justify her short quote. BANCORY BAY closed of well in the same race as his stablemate GUNNER. Both gallopers were first up and that form represents the danger to the fav. SEETHRU has shown some talent at the jumpouts. Selections: 7,5,6,4 Suggested Bet: Dancing Dolly to win but will be short Race 4 SOUNDS FUN has jumped out well recently, with Bronte Beach and Perfect Excuse coming through that jumpout to break their maidens. GRAVITATION has looked good at the jumpouts and seems capable of taking advantage of the low draw. THUNDER HAWK has been competitive in some strong maiden and has jumped out in good style to resume. BELNERA can be forgiven her first up run on a deteriorating track and gives the impression 1300m will be ok. Selections: 10,7,4,1 Suggested Bet: Sounds Fun each way Race 5 PANTOJA justified his short quote to break his maiden at Mornington and gives the impression he’ll relish the step up to 1300m. HARRY’S YACHT has been racing well against stronger opposition and maps to settle closer from a favourable draw. AKICITA did enough first up as a gelding and may apprecaite stepping up to 1300m. MINTMAN and JUST FOR SHOW won their maidens in good style last start and have claims. Selections: 7,10,3,6 Suggested Bet: Pantoja each way Race 6 REWARDS AND MORE has jumped out well to resume and looks suited by the likely strong tempo. KEANE ENUFF is fit, consistent and won’t be far off the speed. TAPO will be part of the speed and stuck on ok in a stronger race last start. LEGENDARY DIVA broker her maiden in decent style last time but looks a place hope at best. Selections: 2,1,4,5 Suggested Bet: Rewards And More to win Race 7 PRIVATE JUMBO can make his own luck and looks hard to beat dropping in grade with a claim. ARDEN GREEN was ok when supported first up and will strip fitter. ONE LONE STAR hasn’t had much luck this prep and is a likely improver on his home track. SUBARCTIC was well placed to win first up and can measure up to this stronger company. FREUD had the right run to win on debut but is open to further improvement. Selections: 1,6,2,9 Suggested Bet: Private Jumbo to win Race 8 CATAHOULA had plenty of excuses at her first attempt at 1400m in the Tristarc Stakes should get her chance to run the trip from a good draw in this grade. IMPENDING LINK did enough in a strong race first up and will strip fitter. NO SURRENDER stuck on ok after enduring a tough run at Sale and gets a claim from a low draw. GRONKOWSKI brings a solid first up record and has been jumping out ok. Selections: 10,2,5,4 Suggested Bet: Catahoula each way Market Market
