Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on November 18, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 7 All About Stone Comes into this off a barnstorming Young Star win last week. Small field and easier company means he takes no end of stopping here. Should be winning. Race 2 No. 7 All About Coal Steps up in trip now and if his run homes are any indication, he will relish the journey. Gets into his work up the back and will be hard to hold out here if he handles the corner start and gets a spot early. Race 3 No. 7 Ballistic Ant Gets a relief in company here with no Couch Surfer, Clifton Cruz etc. will show her customary pace and she just keeps coming after that. One paced but stays and will give a sight if she’s handy. Race 5 No. 2 Seriously Lush and No. 3 Super Charge Last chance for the 2 here to find the arm and go all the way. Good box manners most days and can get her chance here but will get no more if she doesn’t show something. Put a line through the 3s run last week. Forget it happened. Can get going up the back here and steam into it late as he does. Don’t ignore him. Race 6 No. 4 Wooden Hands Thought he was super last week when getting absolutely no luck. A few runs back in now and the small field suits here and he’s going better than it looks on paper. He’s a real chance here. Top two player. Race 8 No. 6 Stanga Storm Will stay out of the early battle and find his feet over to the fence. Can weave a passage through these and will finish strongly if he can get a look at the top. Has a good record here against better company and can hit the frame. Race 10 No. 4 Storm Alert Came on the radar 3 weeks ago and has performed ok since albeit under the odds. A chance that happens again here if he doesn’t get out a touch more. Racing well and while there a few in this he can’t run down, they all can’t have the arm. Top two chance but don’t take anything under $6 Race 12 No. 5 Sudden Rain Got a little luck last week in the run home and while this is tougher, she has some confidence now and she is way over the odds. Goes fast mid race and if she looks to run into it at the top, she can hit the frame on the each way play. SANDOWN PARK Tonight is Shootout night as well as Melbourne Cup preludes.
