Race 1

Starting the three day carnival on a soft 6 rated track, but the forecast rain could see the track in the heavy range for days two and three. DEBATING stuck on well after covering ground in Adelaide on debut and gets blinkers on. HELLARA will strip fitter second up and there has been merit in all runs to date. SUSTEREN and SCIENTIFIC have looked good at the jumpouts. LOOSE ON GIN has jumped out nicely between runs.

Race 2

SIERRA DE GREDOS has impressed at the jumpouts and looks ready to go for his debut. WORLD ACTION should be close to peak fitness and may be looking for 1400m now, no shock to see her roll forward. THERMODYNAMIC had jumped out well prior to his debut and could settle forward from the draw. KHOR was strong through the line in a recent jumpout and looks suited at this trip on debut.

Race 3

FORTIS IN ARMIS was held up at a crucial stage before charging home last time. PANNIER should be close to peak fitness and swaps winkers for blinkers. MISTER GARRETT has jumped out ok with his raceday blinkers and looks suited resuming at this distance. UNTAMED SPIRIT and QUEENBEEL have claims.

Race 4

ROLAND GARROS has been afforded a solid grounding on the flat and has the benefit of two recent steeple schools. UNDER THE BRIDGE has trialled ok between runs and gets winkers off. COUNT ZERO might be looking for further but will keep coming in the likely testing conditions. HISTORIC and TOLEMAC look the other key chances.

NAVAJO WARRIOR has the wide draw to contend with, but they generally start swooping by this stage on day two. THE HIGH PRIESTESS stuck on ok at her first Australian start and should relish the rise to 1700m. LUNAR LINKS is fit and consistent, Pannier gives a handle on that form line earlier in the day. CASTEL TROSINO has been jumping out om to kick off at this trip.

Race 6

SAUNTER BOY is a quality jumper who gets around this circuit well, he will strip fitter for his defeat at Pakenham and is better suited by these weight conditions. BLANDFORD LAD dug deep to beat Saunter Boy last time and has to be in the game despite the weight swing. INSTIGATOR stuck on well for third in the same race and has jumping upside. SAN REMO, HEIR TO THE THRONE and FABALOT next best.

Race 7

MISS BALVENIE is a ripper first up and has jumped out impressively. ROCK ARTIST ran well first up, he’ll roll forward and will relish getting his toe in the ground. SABAR is better suited over further, but without a trial or jumpout should be charging late. STAY IN TOUCH has jumped out in good style and should appreciate what appears to be a solid tempo. ZION and SENGALIA have claims in a deep race.

Race 8

Competitive Wangoom. SACRED PALACE is fit and consistent, blinkers first time might help him find that extra length or so. TAUNTING is building a solid record and handles rain affected ground well. FRANKIE PINOT won this race last year with 55kg, he returned well and will be strong late back to 1200m. IT’SOURTIME and OUTLAWS REVENGE are in the mix. If on pacers aren’t disadvantaged, then BILL THE BOXER can give a sight. CHIEF ALTONY is a talent, he resumes from bone chip surgery and will be charging late.

Deep race. FARRH FLUNG is fit and consistent and should secure a good run. If RESERVOIR DOG gains a start, he looks a strong chance following his luckless run last start. FRIDAY AT FIVE covered ground last time and should appreciate stepping back up in trip. OUTBACK JACK has jumped out well to resume on the home track. JAMES THE GREAT can give a sight riding the speed if that’s no disadvantage. MERCIAN HYMN is an interesting import who has also jumped out well.

Another tough race. LAUNCH PAD won at the carnival last year and has been jumping out well to resume. FLASH FLOOD also won here last year and is racing in good form. I SEE YOU COMING won an easier race over this trip last start and showed tactical speed on that occasion. MISTER ME will strip fitter for his first up run at Terang. SANDY PRINCE and MARCOLT have claims.
